"How at 6:00pm on a Saturday can you have 1 lane open with 20 people in line. Very unprofessional store with terrible customer service and management. Definitely won’t ever shop here again. Go tonDicks sporting goods. Much better prices and no 45 minute wait."

"Most academy sports are laid out in a similar way. The times the workers do not seem to be as knowledgeable on certain areas. It seems from my perspective that they have a somewhat delegated role and only no specifics related to that field. That’s understandable, considering it’s a large store with numerous items. This is in the best Academy sports store that I’ve been in, but it’s certainly not the worst."

"How can you not like Academy? Being from Texas, this reminds me of years and years of shopping for camping and fishing equipment and finding some pretty decent stuff for a reasonable price. I've even bought my share of sporting clothing from here, even to include golf shirts. They have a good selection of anything you need and it isn't priced ridiculously like Bass Pro, REI, or Scheel's. Yes, all those places will have a better selection of sporting items, but the prices are also all off the chart for me. I shop at Academy and get things for a much better price and a decent quality for my needs."

"I went in prepared to spend about $750 on a new bike and accessories. I left without spending any money due to a lack of service and selection. When no one had offered us help for the 10 minutes we were shopping on the bike aisle, I pressed the help button at the end of the aisle. After waiting and about ready to give up, an employee came running up and just wanted to turn the button off “so his manager wouldn’t yell at him.” Once he figured out how to turn the button off, he said he knew nothing about the bikes and worked in the outdoor area. He repeatedly told us he knew nothing about bikes, and apologized. I gave this store two stars because the worker went to the back and at least looked for a bike for me."
