"Make sure the groomer understands your needs and you work with an experienced groomer. I spoke with the owner who didn’t seem to care if she retained my business or not (3 years). I was surprised when my regular groomer was gone (I’ve lost two good groomers in three years) yesterday, and should have listened to my gut and left. The groomers t-shirt said, “No we can’t comb it out!”. Let’s just say my doodle looks like a poodle and has no facial hair or fluffy tail. I feel it was unwarranted, of course they will argue otherwise. In their defense I did get a phone call to say they were indeed going to have to go short. She never mentioned the face or tail. When I picked him up I was shocked and speechless! The owner was nonchalant about my unhappiness with the groom and the unprofessionalism of the gal, until I mentioned this review. I told her I wanted to be fair and talk with her first. There’s nothing I can do at this point; fortunately my doodle won’t need a trim for at least 6 months! I won’t be going back."
"The lady clipped my dogs nails incredibly fast. Professionals over there. My dog came out fine! And he hates when I even touch his feet. He has very long nails! Anyhow she did a great job. 5 stars!"
"They did a great job! They were quick, efficient, and friendly! I thoroughly enjoyed their service, and I think my dogs did too! They easily corrected the one small thing i forgot to ask for on my Aussie. It is kind of expensive compared to other grooming places, but they really are worth the money!"
"Keri, Nell, and Kristyn are wonderful groomers! Everyone welcomes you with a smile and the girls are very gentle and friendly with the dogs. Our experience when we arrived was a warm welcome, a few minutes to talk to our groomer and give our dog a moment to calm down. Immediately our dog took a liking to groomer Keri. She's bubbly and gives off great energy. I know our dog felt it too! We talked about the length of cut, how we wanted the ears and tail and face trimmed. I have a hard time visualizing what the cut will look like but I trust a groomer with years of experience to make our dog look good! And she did! At the end of the day our dog seemed relaxed and happy to see us. I think a shop like Sunny Paws that focuses on a calm, quiet, and positive environment makes a difference in the stress level of grooming. Over all we are super happy! Quality cuts, skilled people (which is hard to find), and very fair prices for Salem. Can't go wrong!"
