"I went in sometime in February. They did bloodwork for my senior cat. Staff was nice, minus the receptionist who was a little snappy. Vet said nothing about his weight, he weighed 15 pounds. She said come back in 6 months for another bloodwork to check if his levels rose. We came back sept. 20th. He had been vomiting for the past week we had gone to VCA first. They gave him anti nausea meds which stopped his vomiting. Brought him the following week to this vetco. The nurse was very kind, we told him he had been constipated after the whole vomiting situation. He said no worries, we won't do a rectal thermometer, it'll be under his arm. Well, vet comes in a immediately sticks the thermometer in his booty. :( Then they take him back to get his blood. I asked if they would give us a cup for him to pee in. They said maybe, if he had no urine. They did an ultrasound and then poked him for a sample of urine. They come back and let me know that "oh he was so calm, multiple people back there were touching him!" Which upset me, because I told them beforehand that he was a very nervous cat when it came to going to the vet. They then sent us home, saying to wait 2-3 days for the results. We get home, he's hiding, but it's normal. Then the next day at night, I find blood in his urine. I wait till the morning to call. They ended up calling us first for the results. They said his levels were now higher from last time and to start him for sure on kidney food. I tell the vet, hey we found blood in his urine last night and today in the morning. The vet basically brushed it off as nothing! Saying that they had found blood in his urine when they had gotten a sample as well. LIKE HELLO?? You didn't say anything to us before we left??? They said he didn't have an infection or crystals (when they checked with the ultrasound). So no need to worry. But IF we wanted to, we could buy some antibiotics. Like whyyyyyy are you the vet not worried about there being blood in a senior cat's urine?? Now he's peeing out of the litterbox, and when he does it's strained and only a tiny bit comes out, sometimes with blood, sometimes without. Also, they said he was overweight (he's 14.5 pounds now). He's a long cat, and I can feel the bones in his spine. The vet at VCA he should be 14.5 pounds (he was at 15 pounds when we took him the week before). And now these guys at vetco want him to go down another pound when he's sick."

"The team there is fantastic and takes great care of my dog when we are in. I've also been able to stop in a get flea med refills on the spot. However getting through on the phone is very difficult, even just to ask a simple question. Since I live across town, it is not convenient to have to stop in to ask something that could easily be addressed on the phone."
