"I have been here for 6 months and I still have no shelving for cubirds and closest. Half of my outlets don't work. No bedroom door. Front door broken wont shut properly. This is the worst management company I have ever associated with. Update i am 9 months in my 1year lease the only thing that was fixed was the electricity told them i would take them to court just to get that fixed. Update I have been here 1 year and my dishwasher is broken and front and back are still not working properly and we have had a mice I told them 4 times and had to put owe traps down. My van has been broken into 4 times.. people are loud 24/7.."

"I wanted so badly to give this place a good review, but I just can't. I came to this apartment complex and originally the manager, Casey, told me I would have the first fully upgraded loft, including new floors, carpet, counters, etc. Leading up to my move in day (3 weeks prior) I asked if I could see the apartment, Casey told me "No" as the person before me was evicted and they were still handling that situation. Moving forward to my move in day, I bring all of my belongings to the complex to be told they "didn't know" the apartment had flees and due to that it was not renovated or cleaned. I had no calls, emails or notification to this and NO WHERE to go. Casey and the crew said to move in and they would upgrade my apartment later. Only after I signed paperwork was I allowed to see the apartment, and boy oh boy was it rough. Missing paint, Missing cabinets, the cabinets that we there were unfinished, holes in the walls, floor board ripping from the walls, dips in the floor, trim completely destroyed, missing blind, backsplashes ripped off the walls, a broken shower, broken screen doors, NAILS STILL IN THE WALLS, a mini fridge in my kitchen, not cleaned, and STILL had fleas. I kept my head low for a few days and then went to the office to ask what the plan was, only to find, no management. NO MANAGEMENT OR STAFF for WEEKS. Weeks later and almost bringing in a lawyer I go to the office to find a lady named Katie. Katie was very nice and very mortified of the site and said it would be fixed but expressed it would take some time to figure out what we were going to do. I watched the complex change, one apartment after the next, the site got cleaner and now our complex is full. Katie stated I had one of the worst 2 units in the complex and they thought about moving me out of it just to get the amount of work that needed to be done, done. Well I have been here since July 3rd 2019, It's November 2d now, and I have had one day of "maintenance" that included putting my towel racks on tighter, touch up paint that doesn't match, and a new fridge that I fought for because the owners "don't want to spend money on appliances." I have so many things wrong with the unit I can't even make a compiled list anymore, I am hurt deeply that I have been easy to work with and understanding, but I still pay rent (which is WAY overpriced) on time and am friendly with the staff when they are here. The laundry never works (because they don't pay for the bill on time) and nothing gets done here. I am a branch manger for a pretty large company and coming from that kind of perspective I would never let this happen to anyone of my employees or customers. It's just crazy. I feel like they forget these are peoples homes and places they should enjoy, and although I have upheld my end of the contract, Nola Place and Avenue 5 has not."

"I am currently renting here. We have lived here now for 10 days. My name is Allyson Hatcher! When we walked thru having been drawn in by the incredibly beautiful pictures posted on their website, we were invited to walk thru an available unit. It looked fantastic and we were approved right away. Signed the 12 month lease. Then when it came to move in day, we arrived w our small children and cars packed to the brim waiting for the keys coming from Corvallis. After getting no answer from the office the entire week after being approved, we were anxiously awaiting some sort of update about the time we'd get in our unit. Someone finally sauntered in at like 4 that day to let us know they got our move in date wrong and there was a miscommunication. We had to rent a storage unit and keep driving to Corvallis for 8 DAYS while they gave us no contact or updates unless I happened to catch them IN PERSON at the Nola place office. Phones never answered period. Staff rarely seen. So, on the new move in date they finally give us, we arrive in the afternoon and again staff has no idea what is going on. They arent expecting us and our unit is not ready. We get to move in anyway with no outlet covers, light fixtures, window blinds or doors on anything, holes in the wall, no stainless steel appliances and painted BROWN DOORS AND KITCHEN at 6pm that night. Our patio has boxes of things they need to install and a stack of cubpoard doors and doors stacked up against it so we cant use that space. We are 10 days in and they have not done anything except put vertical blinds in the patio door and put the creakt brown doors on yesterday. The blinds were filthy having come from their storage garage- a dingy brown needing to be cleaned by me personally. They also don't work. We still don't have a mail key or way to access what gets sent to us here. The office likely had received hundreds of calls from me by now. I taped a note to their office door handwritten begging them to help us sort this out. We are paying over 1000 a month for this for 12 months? I am devastated. Do not rent here. It is nothing like the website. Our unit is one of the most hideous things and we were completely deceived in every way. Again, do not rent from this company and especially not this complex. Update: 9/2/19 We have finished our first month without light fixtures, door knobs, appliances installed even though they are in our manager's office and apparently they are working on it, NO BLINDS EVEN ON 100 DEGREE DAYS WITH KIDS, same madness. For 1000 bucks, guys. Plus our 600 dollar security deposit. The laundry has been down a whole week and everyone I know has put in maintence requests and it doesnt get fixed. A bag of full used cat litter and poop was left on the main walkway where the kids play for 4 days, massive piles of dog poop are on the limited bark chip areas leading to the parking section at all times. This place is a nightmare. Complete nightmare. We have holes in the walls, a broken shower fawcet. Manager is NEVER here. Maintence doesnt respond."

"One of the worst renting experiences that I have had so far. The management is never around and refuses to answer any calls or return them. Apartment was said to be ready, then they said it wasn't, this went back and forth multiple times. They moved us between two units and the one we got was not matching to the one we first saw. After finally getting in, the place was unfinished and due to no response from the management, the unit is still not finished after a week and half of living in the unit. My partner and I just moved in and we are already looking forward to our lease being up. Don't let the first look be misleading. I never write reviews, but in this case I am personally offended at the lack of care from a place whose job is to support their tenants. Also, amenities don't exist when the laundry room is down for multiple weeks, and not fixed for those that need it for work and school."

"I am writing a review of Nola Apartments (2500 Lancaster Drive NE Salem OR). This is an honest review, from an honest person. After less than three months of living here, a lot has happened, but I try to put everything in perspective. I grade this apartment complex based on 1.) Appearance/Structure, 2.) Tenants, and 3.) Property Management/Maintenance. 1. Appearance/Structure (D+). The apartments are old, so “wear and tear” is expected. So far, I have experienced over 4 issues due to apartment age. So do not expect a contemporary place should you decide to move in. The outside appearance is dreadful; some changes are being made to revive color but...it’s dreadful. 2. Tenants (A). All of my neighbors are really cool and very respectful of everyone’s privacy. And even helpful. So you have a great community of people. 3. Property Management/ Maintenance (A+). I have worked with Nicole (Property Manager) and Wayne (Maintenance Manager) many times and all of my issues have been resolved within 24 hours of original request. Nicole is especially attentive and she really cares about her tenants. Wayne too. They make a great combination of property stewards. OVERALL (B-). I have seen many structural issues and I suspect I will encounter many more at Nola, but I feel comfortable in the knowledge that Property Management/Maintenance will address and resolve all issues swiftly and effectively."
