"After a long day of travel, I was greeted by Amber like I was family. She literally has taken care of everything I needed. She even made sure I had help getting my groceries to the room. The location has been perfect. I have a nice view overlooking the pond. The crickets and frogs noises at night are incredible. There is some road noise, but it makes for great “white noise “ for sleeping. The rooms are clean and well maintained."
"The hospitality here is absolutely the best. Every single member of their staff, no matter the day or time is friendly and kind that feels so incredibly genuine and like you’re family. We were having a rough go of things during our stay and staff went above and beyond to ensure we were cared for. I would highly recommend if you need a place to stay in Salem, this is where you go."
"I can't really give a full review since I did not stay here I was picking up and delivering laundry to someone who was staying here but I can say that the lobby was nice and remodeled and the staff was very friendly so I can assume the rooms are probably decent"
"The queen bed was too large for the bedroom. It was hard to get around the bed. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had at a Marriott. The eggs were out of a carton and were overcooked and dried out. The pancakes were dried out and hard. The hotel was packed with families who were cooking and burning their food. The second floor hall were full of smelly smoke that burned our eyes. Some people were smoking in their rooms and throwing cigarette butts in the hallway. Several customers, including us, complained but the hotel management did nothing to solve the problem. We had to open the windows in our room so we could breathe. We left this Marriott and stayed our last night in the Hotel Salem. It is not a Marriott and we couldn't use our points, but it was nice, new and worth the money it cost us. Hotel Salem also had a great breakfast with great service."
