"I’ve lived here for years and this place has literally saved my life. I love the staff here and I love my home. The on-site manager, (Tom) is such a kind hearted person and has shown me the most compassion of anyone I’ve ever met in my life. When I moved into this place 4 years ago, he made sure I had toilet paper, soap, and even paper towels regular towels and dish detergent all set out for me on the counter. He even gave me a keychain that said “welcome home” this place by far goes above and beyond and the people that work here work hard to provide a home I can’t wait to get back to. Thank you guys."
"I applied for an apartment here but backed out before signing the rental agreement. They have strange, strict rules. Not only are you not allowed to put in a window air conditioner (apparently you're supposed to spend $300+ out of your own pocket on a stand-alone one) but they also won't let you take down or change the window curtains anywhere in the house, which means you aren't allowed to control the amount of light that enters into your apartment. (I thought the curtains were ugly, Motel 6-looking ones, too.) The one-bedroom apartment I looked at was very, very small also, but none of this stops them from charging a very high rent price (you can get a spacious two-bedroom apartment in much better parts of the city for the exact same price that Hollywood Park charges, which I only found out later after I wisely continued my apartment search!). I was not told about the curtain rule before I gave them a non-refundable $300 hold fee. I would never have applied for the apartment in the first place if I'd known about the curtain rule. I e-mailed my complaint to the manager, but...no response. So, hope you enjoy my $300, Hollywood Park. Scam?!"
