The Fountains

"My stay at the Fountains was simply incredible. The amenities, the community, and by far my apartment, were all luxury, I only wish I could have stayed longer. Having the property managers there to address your concerns was always nice and made the application process simple and easy as they actively work with you to get approved. I would put the Fountains as one of the safest and nicest areas to live in Salem."

"We decided, because of health issues, to downsize and let someone else do the maintenance. Very, very nice gated community. Quite complex in general, quite and friendly neighbors and very pleasant and helpful managers. Couldn't have ask for a better place to live after owning our own home for more than 20 years. UPDATE 06/04/2022 - This is a rebuttal to the one star review left by LS. We are the older couple living on the bottom floor that he complained about our TV being to loud. We have lived in this complex for just shy of 3 years. Our prior neighbors above for 18 months never filed a complaint against us for anything and I asked constantly if we made to much noise or if our TV was too loud and we were told that we did not, that they hardly knew we were even in our apt. As to the managers being inconsistent that is plain garbage. They were in our apt multiple times checking our TV volume and told us we could turn it up louder if we wanted. They also told us they listened at our door for excessive noise and there was none so they didn’t knock for entry. On the day of this review the managers and I checked our TV volume for noise on the second floor. Our TV volume had to be nearly four times louder than we would ever use it and music was a bigger culprit than regular TV programming for it to be heard upstairs. We live in a very nice complex and try to be the best neighbors we can with our noise. As to our Managers, Dee and Earl, they take a lot of pride in keeping this a nice complex to live in and that rules are followed. LS, in my opinion, thought that everyone at our end of complex needed to live in silence while his family consistently made excessive noise and violated our rules."

"Terrible and inconsistent management from the managers Dee and Earl Kirk. We live on the second floor (of three floors) in building five. Our upstairs neighbors are a family that includes two teenage boys. They constantly stomp on their floor, move furniture, drop heavy things and play their music and tv loud during city quiet hours. They are so loud that our kitchen chandelier and the dishes in our cabinets rattle. We have two toddlers and we are being awoken multiple times a night due to this ongoing issue. Our downstairs neighbors are an older couple who also play their tv so loud the bass can be felt through the floor and couch. We’ve brought these issues up to management and they’ve said they’ll address them. The issues continue day after day. Dee even recommended we continue to lodge complaints. We followed her recommendation and have continued to email our complaints. We get the same response: “We will address this with the tenants.” Since we are within our first year, we have now been asked to move out with no cause given. Dee’s recommendation just created further difficulties. They used our complaints against us and now our family must find new housing before our time here is up. Another tenant recently shared his experience with me and it was nearly the same. He and his family of four were asked to move out within their first year of tenancy. We moved here because the gated apartment community appeared to be a safe and secure place to raise our children. Instead, it’s turned out to be a nightmare of neighbors and mismanagement. Unless you’re 55 or older and without children, I hope you’ll consider another, more family friendly community to reside in."

"Love living here at the The Fountains on Skyline! The beauty of the well maintained community grounds is such an enjoyment, very much appreciated. The apartments are so new and clean which makes living here such a great experience. The property managers Earl and Dee are very thorough and on top of things! I feel confident knowing they are taking such good care of all the residents and property details."

"The apartment complex is very well maintained and quiet. Safety was utmost important aspect which led me to choose this place. This is a secured complex / gated community which not a common feature in Salem area. As a bonus, they have wonderful management! They're easily reachable and are willing to go out of their ways to help tenants out when in need. You are also in the near proximity (5-7 minutes drive) of most grocery stores including Trader Joe's, Fred Meyer, and Winco to name a few. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to everyone!"
