"I was really enjoying this coffee maker until 1.5 years later it stopped working. Reading the reviews looks like I’m not the only one experiencing this. So now I have to package it up and ship it to them to fix. We’ll see how long this takes. But I have to say, if your coffee maker costs over $500, you gotta make the Ferrari of coffee makers. Should last years. I was going to purchase another one for a family member’s house warming party, but after this experience I no longer will be buying anymore of this product. Unfortunate cuz I like supporting a local Portland company."

"We bought our ratio8, 2 years ago. It stopped working after about a year and a half. Fortunately it was covered under warranty. Unfortunately it has taken this company 4 months to fix it (still waiting to get it back). In the meantime they won't give me a replacement. They told me everything is out of stock so I'm stuck waiting. A $600 coffee maker should not break after a year and a half. Their customer service is terrible. I would never buy from them again. Responding to the company's reply: I wish your customer service was as fast and your response to Google reviews. An 11-12 week service time is unacceptable, don't you think? And it's a blatant LIE that you offered us a loaner - due to your "supply" issues you were unable to offer a loaner nor a replacement Please check your "notes" again. You need to work on your customer service SLAs."

"Outstanding in a Word. I have been investigating a few best rated drip coffee makers. Replacing our 10 year old Cuisinart drip unit. Weeks of research, reviews, ratings, emails, more customer reviews, I decided on the local to Portland, Ratio Coffee. After two weeks of daily use, the unit is every bit as good as reviewed. The BLOOM stage to brewing is fun to watch. Taking about 7 min for a full 140ml. It took several days to dial in the amount and gring coarseness. This is not a complaint it's the fun of making coffee.. as we experiment with other types of beans finding the right grind and amount process is going to be fun. Not inexpensive, so far worth every dime!"

"We've had a Ratio 8 machine for 2.5 years now. It *can* make incredible coffee- but our machine has continued to leave water in the tank and messes up the coffee ratio: its literal namesake. We've sent it back to the company and while their customer service is fantastic the machine has continued to malfunction. As much as I like the look and function, it's reliability is simply not worth the price tag."

"We purchased this nightmare 1 year and 4 months ago. Since then, we have had problems with spillage, fixed those, then this morning I go to make coffee and it won’t work. I tried everything listed in the manual to get it to work but it’s just sitting here reminding me how ridiculous it is to spend $535 on a coffee maker when a $20 works just fine. I’ve attached the original receipt as proof to the timeframe and amount spent, not including a new thermal carafe, second “hand blown” carafe which came with a “made in China” label, and professional cleaning on my quartz counter thanks to the overflow issues of the paper filters that COME WITH THE MACHINE. Going today to Target and picking up a Mr Coffee. Those things last forever."
