"Back again to The Zen Hotel and just as nice as I had remembered. The staff here are amazingly friendly and kind. The price is good for the area and the rooms are just as good if not better than other hotels in town. And the place is definitely more quiet than some other places I have stayed in in the past. This remains my go-to place in Palo Alto. My one request is that they make decaf pods available for the rooms, please. :-)"
"Great price. There was a $50 deposit that we never got back but we it more than made up the cleanliness. Loved that's there's a daily breakfast. They also had the office open at night so we could get hot water for tea. They also had a great work out room. The laundry room was okay but the washing machine could use a bit oc cleaning. Other than that, we liked Zen Hotel a great deal and would be more than happy to come here again when we're in the area."
"My only complaint is the bed was low. But it was comfortable. I'm pretty tall so it probably wouldn't be so bad for shorter people. It was quiet and it was well kept."
"Don’t go anywhere else! Honestly an incredible stay, especially for the price. The bed + pillows were extremely comfortable - which was much appreciated after a 17 hour flight and 24 hour travel day- The robe was a wonderful touch, and something you only see in nicer hotels. The decor was tasteful and aligned with Zen theme. Even though it was close to the road, it was very quiet. Grateful for the secure location and parking, kind staff. Really there wasn’t anything they overlooked. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and will be booking again next time."
"I stayed there for 2 nights (Oct 2023), and I found a cockroach on the bathroom floor and several ants on the wall... called the front desk and they send someone to clean it up. When I tried to talk to the front desk, of course they cannot do anything... I would not recommend this hotel to anyone although other reviews said "this hotel is super clean...". If it was not for a last-minute business trip, and all other hotels near the Stanford University were fully booked, I will not stay there."
