Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel

"DON’T STAY HERE! Terrible service experience. It felt like a two star hotel. Don’t take your luggage out of your car until you find out where your hotel room is. There are a lot of rooms on the complex. We took our luggage out of the car, found a trolley to put it on. No one came to help us. Check in staff were cordial. The room was on the other side of the hotel. The front desk staff offered to have someone take the luggage up while we moved our car. We decided to take our own luggage up. Internet There were major problems with the internet. It did not work in our room. We showed the stats regarding the internet speed to the front desk and they offered to move us. We agreed to move rooms but the one we were moving to took 45 mins to clean! We moved and the next room had marginally better Internet service but not by much. In their defense they offered to move us to the Westin and they did discount our room. We didn’t move because we could not face a second move, packing the car and driving just down the road to the hotel. The hotel told us they were “changing out/upgrading” the internet service. FIND OUR IF THIS PROCESSS HAS BEEN COMPLETED IF INTERNET SERVICE IS IMPORTANT. Cleaning The first day we were there we went out all day and came back around 3pm the room was still not cleaned. We found the maid and she came and cleaned and refreshed the bathroom. We told her not to worry about the beds. On the second day we got back to the room at 3pm and the room was not cleaned. We found the maid who said she would come back to the room in 5 mins. In the meantime I went to reception to find out what could we expect re the cleaning of the rooms. I was told they have between 11am and 7pm to clean the rooms - THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS AT CHECK IN. I have never experienced this! Dinning Room and Bar They feel like a school cafeteria. I will say the service was friendly and they did their best to welcome us and the food was not bad. For the price this hotel DOES NOT OFFER GOOD VALUE. We found the whole experience bewildering. NOT RECOMMENDED. And in Palo Alto, and with Marriott, I expected a lot better."

"My first time ever staying here and overall it was great. Absolutely no issues . Close to Stanford hospital which is why we were there & they offer discounts for Stanford hospital visitors . So huge plus"

"Nice hotel. The wifi seems to be very intermittent. Room size was very good, shower was amazing. Housekeeping are very responsive. Only thing i’d change is they need to stop cleaning rooms at 4-5pm as this is when alot of people return to rest."

"The room was fine. However, Marriott and Chase are running a scam! They advertised I would get a $250 (now it’s $300) eGift card if I signed up for their Bonvoy Rewards card. I was approved immediately, but never received the e-mail (yes I checked spam). Furthermore, to add insult to injury, neither Chase nor Marriott would take responsibility and fix the problem! They both said I had to call the other, and they lied to as to when I might receive the certificate! The ad says “upon approval,” but when that didn’t happen, their CS agent said “when I receive my first statement” - which didn’t happen either. I have since checked out, and still have not received the promised gift card! Buyer Beware!!!"

"Great location and spacious rooms. I was a bit disappointed that the room wasn't dusted properly, even though they cleaned it every day. Not the most well insulated rooms and not the most inclusive layout: no sanitary products bin and the toiletries provided are more suitable to men in terms of scent. The building has a lot of potential as it has great bones but fails to deliver."
