"Unfortunately, the hotel looks quite a bit better in photos than in reality. Appears that this is a heavily renovated (with some nice visuals) old complex of rooms with doors that lead to the outside. Unfortunately I could her my neighbors (thin walls), people walking on the external hallway, and my room had a bad odor which I believe came from the bathroom."
"I've stayed here a few times for work, when I'm in Palo Alto, or San Jose. Small/quaint and quiet with reasonably updated rooms with king beds."
"Nest is a deceptively average motel-like experience. The main photos on here show the office/lobby, a couple specific shots of the flashy outdoor space by the lobby, and creatively cropped images of the rooms. My experience didn't really align with the expectations that the photos set in my mind. The room I got didn't feel that different from any other cheap motel. The fake wood flooring was bubbling up, the heater in the room sounded like a junk car engine firing up whenever it kicked on, and there was barely any lighting to speak of. Oh, and the mattress was kind of disgusting... Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. That said, the staff was kind and welcoming. So, no complaints as far as that goes. They were lovely. Just don't go into your experience here expecting anything glamorous."
"I am a fan and support. Looks like they have taken reviews and worked hard to improve. Rooms are fully renovated, modernized and clean. Great coffee which is hard to find in any hotel along with K-coffee in your room. Service was overaccomodating and you can tell they care. Price was better than expected. They could focus a bit more on their breakfast and possibly get a toaster but snacks are sufficient. I would stay here in the future for sure."
"4 day stay. Front desk was helpful until last night when dogs barked for hours and he did nothing. Walls paper thin. Remodeled motel 6. Nothing fancy. You have to literally ask for your room to be cleaned or they pass you up. Old sunken mattress. Terrible continental breakfast. All packaged except apple. 10 minutes from Stanford. I'll find another place next time I visit."
