"Rite Aid located at 4840 Niagara Ave, San Diego, CA 92107 isn’t a great representation of a Rite Aid that I’m accustomed to. Shelves were empty quite a lot, the employees seemed frustrated, and there was only one bathroom that had a key on the opposite part of the store. Bearded guy in the Pharmacy was snooty. WTH???!!!"

"I'm not sure if this location is closing or not, but the aisles were all almost empty. Couldn't find shampoo, toothpaste, or lotion....like at all! Employee made it feel like I interrupted the birth of his first born to ring up my items."

"10/10 this is the best pharmacy. The pharmacists and staff are super efficient, courteous and friendly. They truly go above and beyond for their patients and its obvious the whole team loves what they do. I have had so many consistently wonderful experiences for the usually tedious chore it is to go pick up medications. Keep up the good work Rite Aid OB!!"

"Visited this RiteAid store for the first time recently and this is by far the best RiteAid I've shopped at. The store manager, Steve greeted me when I entered the store and was very welcoming. I needed help finding a product and he immediately stopped what he was doing and assisted me. The store was organized and clean. Decided to get a scoop of ice cream on the way out and it was so gooooddd! Definitely plan to come back to this store in the near future. Actually prefer this store over CVS. Great customer service!"

"rite aid ocean beach ice cream stop with John and Grace was a poor moment. Friday evening, I went to Rite-Aid for wine and sherbet. After not finding the wine I was asked to get, I got the back-up choice and went to get sherbet. I stood in front of the ice cream counter for about 5 minutes. After waiting and observing people who got in line after I got to the register, I made eye contact with the clerk on the only open register, Grace. She announced the ice cream counter was closed. I asked where the closed sign was, and was told it would take some time for someone to get to the ice cream counter. I replied that I could wait. 5 minutes later, John appeared behind the ice cream counter. He washed his hands and prepared the scoop for service, and made it a point to slam open both doors over the ice cream. Before I could request rainbow sherbet, John lit into me. He told me that the ice cream counter was being opened up for me, and just for me. I replied that there was no closed sign, and it was during standard open hours, so the product should be available. I placed my order for a quart of rainbow sherbet. John advised that there were no quart containers available, only pints, so if I wanted, I could buy 2 pints for $3.99 each. Hearing this, I asked why I should pay the pint price when 2 pints, 16 ounces each, equals 1 quart, 32 ounces. Not my fault you do not have quart containers; why should I have to pay extra? John decided he could agree with my representation, and scooped me 2 pints of sherbet. Once he finished, he was preparing to ring up sherbet and alcohol. Grace had worked the line down to nothing, and advised John she would take care to ring me up. She asked about the conversation John and I had, and rang up my order. She told me that she was not charging me for the sherbet. I expressed surprise and said I should pay, as the counter was being opened for me, and only me, as John said. Grace apologized, and again told me I would not be charged. I thanked her and completed the transaction. The ice cream counter at Rite-Aid has been a big deal to me for as long as I can remember. In over 50 years, ice cream at Rite Aid, which I remember was 5 cents for a single dip, was a big part of life and joy. I have never been shamed by an employee for wanting to buy a product from the ice cream counter, until now."
