"We almost never leave reviews. But we feel so strongly about leaving a review for Daniel at Premier Appliance Repair: they fixed a long time problem the Viking authorized repair company said was not fixable! We have a Viking stand alone fridge and freezer. The fridge was giving us trouble almost from day one. We have enough service records to publish as a book. But the over condensation problem got worse and worse. What's worth noting is that we always used a Viking authorized service repair company called Executive Appliances. Thinking they are Viking trained and certified. Turned out that certification only means incompetency, laziness (because it is guaranteed business). The service guy kept telling us (after the warranty has run out) that there is a design flaw in the door of Viking's side by side. And that there is nothing that can be done. We contacted Viking all the way to their VP, we were jerked around like you can't believe. Because at this point, even though Viking's own certified repair company stated the problem is not "user-caused", and we paid for their numerous visits, and bought brand new gaskets not once, but TWICE, Viking refused to do anything, based on the fact that it is out of warranty. Despite the fact this problem has been from day one and we have all the service records to back it up. I have always heard amazing things about Daniel and Premier Appliances through our family member. 2 weeks ago, I called. Daniel and his crew came out. Immediately they found a gap on top of the door that was about 1 and 1/2 INCHES!! No wonder we had such bad condensation issue! They spent 4 hours working on correcting the door. And came out a week later to make a final adjustment. We now, finally, have a functional fridge!! Huge Thank You to Daniel and Premier Appliance - you have a loyal customer and crazy fan for life!"

"Premier's tech, Vlad, was extremely personable, but after barely examining the parts of my GE refrigerator that seemed to be malfunctioning--the ice maker overfilling and the door's water dispenser dripping--he concluded that the ice maker and the water valve would have to be replaced, and that parts and labor for both would come to almost $1000. I then had a GE repairman out, who said there were no malfunctions, that I simply did not have enough food in my freezer to maintain a low enough temp to keep the water dispenser from dripping, and that I simply needed to get a cup of ice a day from the door dispenser to keep the ice container from filling too high. (I rarely use any ice at all.) Time will tell who was right. But I was troubled by Premier's casual attitude toward proposing a $1000 repair that was apparently unnecessary. To be clear, my refrigerator is less than a year old and is still under warranty, and Vlad urged me to contact GE for the repair. But I had to pay him $85 for an off-the-cuff diagnosis AND devote a second half-day to waiting for another repairman. Also, unsettlingly, when I expressed my dismay regarding consumer complaints about the bad quality of so many of today's refrigerators, and the need for repeated expensive repairs even to new appliances, Vlad's first reaction was to say that this situation worked out well for people in his line of work! I won't be calling Premier for any further appliance repairs."
