"I’ve been purchasing from the online store for several years. I left the country to serve pregnant and postpartum mothers in Ghana and forgot I had an $80 credit with Spoiled which expired while I was away. I called (3 weeks after the expiration) to ask if they would honor my credit and they declined. As a frequent buyer, this is really disappointing. I love supporting Black businesses, especially Black women-owned businesses, and I wish we, collectively, would do better about showing loyal customers grace and support. As a Black woman business owner myself, I understand, and am very intentional about being considerate of the ways life happens. Not that the owner cares about my lil $80 when she has Tabitha Brown rocking her pieces…but the little people matter just as much. I enjoyed the fun pieces Spoiled offered, and I’m sad I have to withdraw my support for this company. But I work hard for my lil coins and I don’t feel my years of being a repeat customer were appreciated or at best acknowledged in this instance.
