"Apartment itself is fine, lived on upper floor and I was honestly surprised by how nice it is inside for the price. But beware of Mason Properties - they took almost the entirety of my $800 security deposit over petty "dust on bathroom cabinet" and "candle smoke" charges. Didn't even have a candle in the rooms they claimed they "cleaned". Neighborhood is absolutely awful. Building is next door to a homeless shelter and frequently heard screaming/fighting at night. Robberies have occurred right outside of the complex. Had homeless people run up to my car to beg for money as I pull out of or into the lot. Went to throw trash out in the middle of the day and stumbled upon 2 homeless men on the ground smoking out of meth/crack looking pipes behind dumpster. Yeah. Stay clear of this place it's not worth your time and money."

"I just moved into the 2nd floor of Lynwood Apartments and I absolutely love it. HUGE apartment. The apartment was very clean and the carpet looks and smells brand new. The management treated me very well. I have no complaints, by far one of the best apartments in DeKalb."
