"Rented a Jacuzzi room to find out that it's a bathtub with jets. There was ashes on the window seal and now theycharged my card 250 dollars saying we smoked in the room I told them I have COPD and on oxygen so nobody was smoking in the room they still refuse to refund our money. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY"

"For the price it had everything we needed - clean room, comfortable beds, polite and efficient staff, excellent location. Breakfast was a touch basic but everything was fresh, filling, and tasty. (As a Southerner, would have loved some pepper gravy for the biscuits.) If our son ends up at NIU this will become a go-to."

"Nice hotel. Needs some updating in our room, bathroom door painting was not completed. Breakfast was good. Kids really enjoyed the indoor pool . Right at the entrance to NIU University. We would stay again. The one negative for some is hotel sits by the train tracks, so if you are a light sleeper, you may have difficulty, but it was not a problem for us."

"Besides having the hotel built next to railroad tracks that had trains come through 5 times between 11 pm and 6 am, they seem to be under staffed. I came down for breakfast and they were out of coffee. No one at front desk, so I rang the bell. The lady came out and I told her they were out of coffee. She got snapped at me that she was making coffee in the back. I'm like okay, all you had to do was say it. She came out with the coffee and had a conversation with another guest that seemed to be a regular. She complained that the overnight person should have made more food and coffee. Yes food was scarce. And that they were under staffed and couldn't keep up with everything. I will say that in 3 days being in and out several times, there was only two times someone was behind the desk. So it definitely looks like being under staffed."

"Stayed here overnight and it was somewhat okay. My bed was SUPER comfortable, the sheets were incredibly soft and I liked that there was a free movie channel that had free movies on it. But unfortunately, that's where my compliments of this hotel end. When I was taking a shower, the water refused to drain for a long time, so by the time I was done with my shower, I was standing in water that went up past my ankles, which tells me that there is a plumbing issue or a possible clog in the drain pipe. At breakfast the next morning, there was hardly anything left and we had gotten down there at nine. No breakfast meats except for a few sad eggs that looked as if they had been sitting in the warmers all morning. Hardly any waffle batter left, and those tasted dry after we cooked them. Putting the practically frozen butter on them didn't improve the taste at all. We had to ask for some kind of juice and the employee came out with a few cans of juice and said that another staff member was supposed to restock the breakfast fridge with them but they didn't, so we had to drink warm canned orange juice. We had to leave hungry and disappointed. Please improve your customer service and maybe work on updating/fixing the rooms. You can do a lot better!"
