"Took my 4 yr old Huffy single speed on Monday. Another bike shop told me the hub on the back wheel could not be fixed and I needed a new wheel which wouldn't match my bike. Billy looked at it and said it could be fixed. Picked up on Tuesday and rides great, no more loud noise. Reasonable price."

"Called Friendswood Bicycle on a whim, and from recommendations from people I bike with. I couldn’t be happier with their service, professionalism, and friendliness. I dropped my bike off for a tuneup during the Thanksgiving holiday thinking it would be at least a week or more for them to look at my bike. They finished within 2 days and even explained everything they did to get the bike back into tip top shape. I highly recommend this bike shop for your service needs!"

"Beware, these guys are scamsters. Brought my bike in that had been sitting for a couple of years. First the manager tried to sell an old bike he had because he claimed my repairs were too extensive. Then he couldn't explain all of his itemized charges to me so he pretended to default to his mechanic and told him to charge me $250, so the mechanic tried to make up extra things. They were surprised that I knew what the bike needed and kept trying to justify 'all the work they'd have to do,' wasting everybody's time. It just needed new brake lines (which I provided), a new $25 chain, a $20 rear tire and a couple of $10 inner tubes, and use of a pair of pliers to bend back my bent derailer... not more than an hour. They even tried padding extra dollars on the price of the tire till I corrected them because I saw the price tag before he turned it over to hide it. After the items added up to $115 including their labor charges, I still threw in an extra $10 in what I was willing to pay and of course they ate it up... that was the price of this review. At least it's working as it should after I tightened the brake cables myself, and I'm putting in an extra star for the quick turnaround. But if I hadn't asked questions, I'd have paid twice my bill, or lost my perfectly good bike to their used inventory for no reason... watch out for these guys."
