"There is nothing offered for aftercare. The program did not help my child. Several weird parent classes on how to speak nicely to your child, but nothing to actually help the child try to eat. I dont have trouble speaking anything but love to him...I just wanted a place that would help him eat. This is not the place."

"this is first hand experience, I was inpatient for 1month and php for another month and I can honestly say my experience with this program was horrible, most of the nurses were rude and honestly made my experience being there so much harder than it had to be, my time there I experience parents coming in during visitation and straight up tell the nurses”these are kids y’all are working with not prisoners” because we forced to earn points for us to be able to even socialize in there if you didn’t earn “enough points” you were forced to sit alone most of the day . This program only cares about making you weight restore which was extremely difficult because their food there was so horrible, I don’t know how they expected us to want to eat with that unappetizing food."

"My daughter has been in the ED impatient program at this point 3x, I will say while everyone's experience is different ours has been good. At the end of the day we are all parents just trying to do our best when it comes to one of our kids having mental health problems, sometimes reaching out is the best option. My daughter is still struggling but through this journey of recovery we have gained so much knowledge from Children's, they have on so many occasions shown support and a willingness to help our daughter over come the struggles of ED. Their willingness to accommodate, invest and help bring forth knowledge, coping skills and facts centered around ED is something I will forever be thankful for. It's heart breaking to see my baby struggle but at the end of the day it's going to come down to her saying enough is enough. Until she gets there, as a parent I am blessed to have Children's by my side fighting this with us."

"The staff here truly cares about the patients and wants them to get better when it comes to medical and mental health. The inpatient and PHP program are both very structured and help a lot with weight restoration and an unhealthy relationship with food. However, the IOP is a waste of time. It did absolutely nothing for me because it was literally just artwork and 1 supportive meal a week. I would strongly recommend children's Plano for IP and PHP but definitely NOT IOP."

"Patients where the only ones who were supportive. STAFF got mad at lots of patients for stupid reasons like not putting their feet down when eating Could be worse could be better but the favorite things was Patton ( Therapy Dog) and Patients (honestly I could talk to them all day)"
