"When my husband and I lived at Amber Sky Estates in 2018, it was owned by a couple and we were very grateful for the place since we needed to move in quickly. It was very peaceful and I enjoyed that there weren’t many apartments. Once we had new management, it seemed promising! There was new pavement for the parking lot and it was great. David, the former handyman, was really nice and helpful. But about a year and a half ago, we noticed that things were slowly going down hill. We needed help with our dishwasher, microwave, and there was something funky going on with the water heater. We also had some stuff going on with our dryer connection (birds kept building nests on the outside). When we’d report these things, David (former handyman) attempted to help us, but it seemed that things just couldn’t get fixed. Phone calls and emails wouldn’t be returned from management. The tile outside our apartment was also really slippery whenever it rained and snowed and replacing the tile (after parts broke off) took awhile. Everything just became a hassle to deal with. We always paid our rent on time, were cordial, but it didn’t seem to help. To say I was glad to leave is truly an understatement. P.S. I also REALLY did not enjoy the mansplaining and constant unnecessary rationalizations. Just a heads up to all - but especially women."

"My wife and I moved in to the apartment complex in 2018. Grateful to the original owners, however, in my opinion with new ownership things slowly began to go downhill. New ”Management” would blame others above “Management” that don’t exist and request to fix things would take forever. Former handy man David did amazing and would do everything for us. We also came to know that problems were addressed to the owner and clearly told that he wouldn’t address them because the problem was not his concern or high enough in his worries. In my opinion Management did not always respond to calls or emails and was very rough and tried to push his weight around. We always paid our rent, never late in the many years there, always cordial to him and yet this owner would constantly try to mansplain to my wife and I, something both her and I never appreciated as well as blaming others for his life’s struggle to get a grip on the growing list of issues on the property. In my opinion The “Management” has been graphic in texts and threatening with text messages calling to raise rent if people didn’t stop throwing items not meant for the toilet down the drain… understandable but such poor taste when he tell people he would gladly send them pictures of feces and other items in the storm water system on the property if they needed proof… even sent out an official letter to the residents and texts. Yes, I still have the letter and the texts that I found offensive and lacking tactful ness to all the residents addressed. In conversations Often telling me “Management” that if you didn’t like “Management” and “Management” didn’t like you… then there was no point for you a resident… to stick around, as this didn’t provide a good relationship… In my opinion The unit is poorly constructed, a lot of short cuts were made building these units, owner and handy men would constantly complain of the ever growing issues occurring at the complex, all of which were done over email, phone calls and text. I assure you… they would take action in some items but… the list was quite long… this no fault to them but to the building inspector that quite clearly failed to enforce many requirements… for whatever reason you can imagine. In my opinion, I for one am quite grateful of our departure. I wish the ”Management” great success and best of luck. If you are interested, I remember seeing at minimum 3-4 units vacant… for some months actually… I guess people found better deals, which is fantastic to see. I certainly found a great deal. I’m grateful to have been pushed to see the light… and yes it is greener on the other side."
