"Update: (After 6 months of living here) Things that are good: - Green grass and lots of trees. Very pretty landscaping. - We have things delivered often and we haven’t had any packages stolen. - The pool was not crowded in the summer. - No trouble finding parking. Things that are not good: - Brand new HVAC. Heater is awful, we wake up to our apartment in the mid to low 60s everyday. I’m out of school right now and even during the day it hasn’t gotten above 71 in a while. 1/16/24 they have fixed our heater. My boyfriend was home and said maintenance guy was very nice. :) - For ~$1400/month, the quality of the apartments is lacking big time. We paid about $350 less on the NE side and the apartment was extremely nice. The west side is more expensive in general but please find somewhere nicer than this for your money. You will be happier. - Countertops and floors looks nice but are just stickers that scratch, bubble, and peel with normal use. - Woodwork is very old. You can tell it’s been painted over many times, it has mysterious holes and extensive water damage. - I was told on my tour that the gym would be getting weights soon. That was 6 months ago and still no weights (other than 2 sets that are maybe 60s and 80s) - I was also told on my tour that there would be a fire pit going where the old hot tub was, which also has not been done. Original Review before move-in: I have had a pretty good experience with Palomar West so far. They usually always answer the phone. Whether it’s the 3rd party answering service or the front office themselves. Laura stayed late one day to email me pictures of the floorplan we will have. Jaime has been very responsive and communicative through the application and leasing process. We have had to resign our lease due to what’s believed to be a system glitch. On the tour we were told the missing weights from the gym were going to be replaced soon. The gym was unlocked and the community is not gated. The part of the pool area was under construction to build a fire pit where the hot tub was. We were told the grilling area was also going to be redone this year. There were multiple hiccups on our tour with finding the correct apartment and key. He was new and had to go back to the office several times for keys. Overall, we are very excited to move in! It is a very green and beautiful community. With the promised updates I believe Palomar West will definitely be worth 5 stars. We move in at the end of the month. I will update if my experience changes."

"**update** Linda thinks it’s necessary to force her self into our apartment to check on our heater. I feel as if this is retaliation to the review I left. I have to miss a work day now to ensure my property will not be tampered with. We’ve lived here for about 4 to 5 months, some good things about Palomar: - beautiful landscape - Convenient location to every thing else Some things that we are concerned with: - since move in, we have switched to central air and heat. Last night was sub 40 degrees and we woke up to a 60 degree house. - we’ve had a company up on the roof doing work. This company left hardware and trash by the building and the management team seems not to care considering it’s been 3 weeks now. We had two flat tires in 3 days, I also see other cars with donuts on their car. I went outside and picked up all the nails, screws, and litter I could find. (See pictures) - there is a trash hanging half way off our roof and a pipes leaking mysterious fluid onto a walkway into our apartment. (See pictures) - walls are thin and we can hear our neighbors music on the weekends (not a huge issue for us) - our kitchen and bathroom countertops and cabinets spaces are corroded and crooked (cabinet spaces need to be refurbished with new wood. Wood is falling apart) - bathroom is very moist. Outtake fan needs to be on during use and 1 hour after showers we also constantly buy damp rid for the bathrooms.. could explain why the cabinets interior look so poor. - mandatory dog poo pick up; however, there are never any doggie bags in the receptacles around the community. - dogs are always off leash. I have to keep compress air with me to deter any unwanted animals approaching me, as it has happen on multiple occasions already. This is not a complaint by any means, I do not expect Palomar to fix anything.. simply a review of what I’ve experienced in the past few months."

"I would like to begin by expressing our deep appreciation for the wonderful experience my husband and I have had living in these apartments over the past year. This positive experience has solidified our enthusiasm for renewing our lease. While it hasn't been flawless, with occasional repair and assistance needs, the management has consistently demonstrated a prompt response and willingness to help, a quality we greatly value. I can't speak for others, but our personal experience has been nothing short of delightful. If I were to offer some constructive feedback for improvement, it would be to focus a bit more on the maintenance and care of the hardscape areas and the gym. However, aside from this minor concerns, we absolutely adore our neighbors, the summer days by the pool, the cookouts, the engaging activities organized by the management, their swiftness in addressing indoor issues, the comfortable temperature control during both summer and winter, and the overall loveliness of the community. Linda and the entire team have played a pivotal role in making this place truly feel like home. We're looking forward to continuing our journey here with a sense of contentment and gratitude. And to provide a visual glimpse of our experience, here are some pictures of our time here."

"I moved here from India since last week of September in this year. I feel this place is like a oasis in this hot desert. The reason for the relaxing ambience in this place is lots of greenery, long lawn with some tall big trees . The atmosphere is calm, quite. Even somebody can do meditation in the green lawn beside laundry. The people from the front desk are very helpful in terms of each and every information. Specially when I was about to move from India to here, a staff from the front desk, name is Ms Araceli Varela, she helped me a lot as I was a newcomer in this city. Now I am staying in this woodland happily."

"This place is a beautiful hidden gem. I moved here from Minnesota and I needed some greenery to remind me of home. This is the place for your if you've outgrown your party phase and follow rules. It's quiet, clean and affordable. Doesn't feel like a cash grab they really seem to care about their business reputation. They have responded within a day for maintenance issue, they keep the landscape looking neat and cut grass frequently, neighbors mind their business. Again not the place for you if you like to party, don't pay rent on and don't clean up after your dog. You will not have a fun time getting fined."
