"Not very happy with my experience at the Flatz. This review is written as a “buyer beware” statement so you aren’t blindsided by these issues after you sign a lease here and you can consider these problems when choosing an apartment around midland. WIFI and Electrical Issues: Due to the way these apartments were wired, the coax cable in my apartment was dead. It took me two months to get wifi due to the back and forth between me, Optimum, and the apartment complex going back and forth on who was responsible to get this fixed. Optimum is your only option for a provider here, so if you have any problems with them you are up a creek. I would call Optimum to make sure the previous resident had an account with them that was in service for several months before I would take any room here. Additionally, the outlets in the bathroom do not appear to be GFCI which I don’t think is to code. Heating problems: The heater in the living room is so loud it will keep you up at night. I have to turn my heat off at night so I don’t get woken up several times. Car Community Policies: If your inspection sticker is out of date, the apartment complex will put a sticker on your car and give you a week before they tow your car away. The sticker is difficult to get off and will leave paper and adhesive on your car. It’s a policy I wasn’t aware of until it happened to me, make sure to go over the community policies before you choose to sign up here. This is not mentioned in your lease agreement. I feel like it is one of several policies that are hostile to residents and creates a discontented attitude around the complex. Loud and Disruptive: This is especially for anyone looking at building G. The cops have been called to my building several times due to a loud abusive relationship problem. The apartment complex said they can’t do anything about it. Basically, the way your lease is written the apartment complex doesn’t need to take responsibility for much of anything. The halls can stink of pot/trash and you can go to sleep to the peaceful sounds of assault in the other room and there is nothing to be done. But just remember, if your inspection sticker is out….they will tow your car. Additionally, I have had issues with residents with loud tricked out cars racing or revving their engines loudly at night or in the morning. The apartment can’t do anything about this, but you better believe those inspection stickers were up to date. Really wish the staff here would circle up and discuss some of these policies and consider how they would feel in the resident’s shoes and try to make some positive changes on the quality of life here."

"Five Stars without a doubt! I had an amazing experience with Flatz 432 weeks prior to moving into the state of Texas! Kara B. kept me updated with any changes during the application process and was more than fair and considerate with her communication. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. "My wife and I are here traveling for work. We car pool to Midland Memorial Hospital and clock out at 1am. At this hour there is no parking spaces available for our unit. With the exception for the spaces outside the gate with no lights or any assurance of safety. There are no assigned parking spaces. We utilized the only space available which happened to be a handicap space. Woke up yesterday morning to alerts on my phone that my vehicle's door was opened and alarm going off. I step outside to find my vehicle missing. My immediate thoughts were my vehicle was stolen. You can imagine my panic state in that moment. I came across a maintenance worker that happened to be in the area and seemed unimpressed by me telling him my vehicle was possibly stolen and told me to call ARS Towing. To my surprise they say "yes the vehicle is on the way here". Without warning, a note or anything on my vehicle it was towed from the complex. The tow bill states the tow was approved by "Flat Z" however, no one is making themselves responsible for the tow. We are both ER nurses having to deal and put up with the stresses at work and NOW the stresses at our home where we both lay our heads, a place that's supposed to be meant for peace and tranquility. It's an incredibly hostile act how we were made to be the example, yet after hours I've seen several vehicles parked over the sidewalks, gravel and blocking garage doors. This is how the complex treats its tenants. Below are pictures of individuals presently who parked wrongfully. *Edit* So what I am understanding from the owners message is that we can park in front of parking garages and over curbs, as seen in the pictures. As long as we're not parked illegally. Okay noted! I live in the back units! I can assure you there are no parking spots available after hours."

"Beautiful community, can't wait for them to open! Love how there is faux wood flooring throughout the entire apartment and that the modular build helps reduce sound from traveling from one apartment to the other."
