Extend-a-Suites UTEP

"It's an older motel, its very affordable, and renovations are in progress so taking that into consideration is important. That being said, this is one of my favorite motels here. I just get good vibes when i walk in and the staff is always kind and helpful and they have a reasonable check out time. I feel safe there and like my car is safe in the parking lot. It might not be a Hilton Garden Inn but its better than the Stagecoach Inn and some other questionable places by a whole whole lot. I have stayed there alot and can't come up with any complaints to share at all. And I can appreciate what the extend-a-suites has to offer."

"I showed up with my ID and a screenshot of my purchase with all the details, and also a confirmation number. Despite this, they said they had no record of my room reservation. They asked me to check my bank to confirm if a transaction had taken place. I checked and no charge had taken place yet. So they told me the reservation had not gone through and denied me service. They offered me as an alternative a $167 suite, which was 2.5 times what I originally paid ($65). They refused to change the price for the suite they offered me. Today, I checked my bank account and saw the $65 charge, so my bank did in fact charge me. And yet despite showing them a confirmation number, ID, and screenshot they mistakenly claimed I hadn't reserved the room due to a computer error on their part. This was an embarrassing error. Update: I tried to dispute the charge with my bank. In response, Extend-a-Suites lied to my bank and claimed that I cancelled my reservation. All this effort, in order to not refund me $65.20 after their mistake."

"They don't have a reservation system. I called them to cancel my reservation and they said there wasn't one. I even called back to double check and they told me not to worry. I never stayed there but was charged 195.60 anyways. The manager keeps hanging up on me. In the end I disputed the charge but they said I never canceled my reservation. The manager said I never had a reservation. Capital one asked them and they told the credit card company I didn't cancel my reservation. I tried my best but in the end the Hotel people are dishonest. Be very careful when making a reservation what a complete disaster. In the end I paid the money and I changed my credit cards over to chase and Wells Fargo. Unfortunately Capital treats people like criminals and I am honest. These people at Extend a suites are not"

"There was a nasty smell through the whole building like old cigarettes and underarms ..... The little side air conditioner was it enough air conditioner to cool off the room..... The toilet was broke..... Before I made a reservation I asked the man at the front desk how much for a room, he said $75- and $98 with tax.....this please is a crack shack."

"Went to visit an acquaintance's friend who was staying in the honeymoon suite for the night. I expected a much nicer looking inside. Instead, the carpets needed to be updated drastically, it needed new paint. The stairs to the second floor were rickety and felt like a slight slope. Very hard on the knees and legs since stairs were at a sharp incline and really close together. Vending machines were hard to find. Had to go down to first floor and walk clear to the end, only to find the machine didn't work. Looked for the sauna, as per posted signs, only to be left wondering where to go once I was nearing the end of the hallway. The site set up was a really functional design with the master bedroom sporting a huge 3 stair hot tub. The guest room was separated from bedroom by a door. There was a compact fridge, but NO MICROWAVE in the room. Only 2 electrical outlets in guest room which made it practically impossible to sit at the table with your phone while it was plugged in. Had it's own 2nd bath which was nice. Staff was REALLY helpful and very professional in the evening and the morning. No coffee was available when we arrived nor when we left in the morning."
