Candlewood Suites Midland SW, an IHG Hotel

"I mean walmart is right next door and I see people on here complaining about the hotel store not being restocked when it will be half way empty within the same day of re-stocking. I'm not complaining. I travel for work and I've stayed at some run down places chosen by the company and this is definitely in the top 10 best category. Free Wifi, Free Wash & Dry, Free Gym, Free pool, Soft beds, Spacious rooms, stove, microwaves, big fridge, in hotel store, a TV and the good movies are at the end channels, nice employees as well."

"The front desk service is 5 star at this hotel. Everyone I encountered was helpful. In particular, Vanessa is wonderful. She is professional, eager to solve problems and has great insight into the local resources. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located and the rooms are exactly what you need in a suite hotel."

"Writing as a "disgruntled previous employee" I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to give my service to a place that openly mistreats its employees. I have a family member who used to work here and she was mistreated by the manager Amanda. She consistently made threats to all the employees and berated them during times of stress. So much so, that when someone complained and suggested innovating ways to work as a team, she yelled at them "I don't care about your job, I only care about mine." What makes matters worse in all this, is my family member tried to make a formal complaint against Amanda, and there is no way to do so. What place of employment creates such a terrible and hostile environment and then has NO way to make formal and anonymous complaints?! Surely this can't be legal. I even reached out to Amanda's boss, and she also ignored all my requests to place a formal complaint. My hope is that the owner of this hotel sees this review, and finally realizes the low-grade people they have managing their hotel."

"My family and I we're looking for a hotel to stay at in town due to our air conditioner going out! The staff was very courteous. We were pleasingly surprised with Coty the maintenance man who was always eager to help! He went out of his way several times for us. I can't say enough about his work ethics!! "My husband and I chose to stay in this hotel simply based on the approach and first impression created by the front office staff Vanessa. She was great in receiving the customer , hearing out to exactly understand what the customer is looking for and she does her very best to offer the best available options. The total approach of the front desk including the GM Amanda it was a pleasant experience at this hotel. We will surely visit again. Thank you Vanessa and Amanda for good experience. All the best !!!"
