"Highly recommend getting a YMCA membership if you're looking for a welcoming place, friendly staff, clean facilities. Even more so if you have a small kids that love to swim, they have a splash area and water slide indoors for year round entertainment."

"I travel a lot for work and the YMCA here and other locations in the Louisville area are some of the nicest I’ve seen! New modern facilities, large pool area with slide for the kids, stay and play for my younger one so I can work out. Fantastic!"

"One day we went to play ball. The lady had the audacity to tell us we didn't belong there. When we walked the track there was a man on a business call speaking loudly enough for 1st floor locker room people to hear him. On another occasion & lastly, the jets in warm water pool were haulted by a very rude instructor. She stated they needed to hear. The only thing turning the jets off allowed you to hear were the Christmas jingles she had playing in the background. The jets were on 20 minutes into the class duration. It is adamantly concerning the attitudes here! If you want to be treated disrespectful go here!"

"Bathrooms and facilities are clean, but the layout is outright silly. Very cramped in the free weight area. I do enjoy the upstairs track and the pool. Sauna is nice, but the people in there can be a little nasty at times(nasty feet, but it happens). I’ll give it a one solely due to the fact that I mainly use the free weights and it’s hard to navigate the cramped free weight area at peak times. Just feels unsafe."

"Instructors stay on target with the skills they are working toward, they push the children to be strong swimmers, pool safety is consistently discussed, and lifeguards are so friendly as well as on top of keeping all swimmers safe. In addition to the wonderful lessons, one instructor, Abbey, went above and beyond to get my boys confidence to go down the giant water slide and encouraged them long after the session was over. I love the curriculum they follow. My 3-year-old can now swim in the deep end with no life-jacket and can go down the giant slide with no issue. My 5-year-old is now swimming beyond a full length pool and has so much confidence in the water. They have come a long way in just a two, two week sessions. We have pleasant experiences every time we visit the New Albany, Floyd County YMCA to swim."
