"Mixed experience this morning. I got an item that had a coupon for a free second item. They were out of stock of the second item and I found an employee (Luis) who was very helpful and offered to replace the out of stock item with an even better item for free! He gave me a coupon and wrote his name on it so the cashier would know to honor it. When we get to the register I hand the coupon to the cashier (Alex P) who does not make eye contact or talk to me the entire time as I’m explaining the coupon situation. The coupon said to call Luis if the cashier has any question. Alex P did not call and when I got to my car I saw that Alex had still charged me for the second item that was supposed to be free. I was frustrated because I had explained the coupon situation twice to him and he had blatantly ignored me both times. Still grateful that Luis offered the coupon from earlier"

"Huge store that's clean and usually well- stocked. Bottled water gets a little scarce when the weather turns bad (people stocking up for a disaster?) but it's usually easy to get in and out. Parking's easy in the big lot. My wife loves their roasted chickens (better than Costco)."

"Four-Star Review of HEB Plus, San Antonio I had the opportunity to shop at the HEB Plus on Texas 1604 Loop in San Antonio about three weeks ago, and my overall experience was quite positive, meriting a solid four stars. Pros: 1. Product Variety: The store boasts an impressive selection of goods, from groceries to electronics, providing a one-stop shopping experience. 2. Fresh Produce: The produce section was well-stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, which is always a highlight at HEB stores. 3. Cleanliness and Organization: The store was notably clean and well-organized, making the shopping experience pleasant and efficient. 4. Customer Service: Staff members were friendly and helpful, readily available to assist with questions and directions. Cons: 1. Checkout Wait Times: Despite the number of registers, the checkout process was somewhat slow, possibly due to high customer volume at the time of my visit. 2. Parking Lot Congestion: The parking lot was quite crowded, making it a bit challenging to find a spot, especially during peak hours. In conclusion, the HEB Plus in San Antonio offers a great shopping experience with its vast product range, fresh produce, and commendable customer service. While there are minor areas for improvement, such as reducing wait times at checkout and managing parking lot congestion, these do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for quality groceries and more in a clean, welcoming environment."

"Many things to like about any of the HEB plus locations. Lots of variety, fresh food sections are awesome, ample checkout plus self-check, always plenty of carts (including mobility carts). The staff are always polite, professional and friendly. My main issue is finding non-HEB brands -- I get it, really but still I feel like your customers would shop with you even more if you had more non- HEB brands (remember the story about the Macy's Santa Claus?)....I double-dog dare ya to try it for 6 months....."

"This H-E-B Plus is located at the very busy Loop 1604 and Blanco intersection. As a general rule, a Plus store has more floor space than the typical grocery store and offers products not found in smaller grocery stores. It's also a way to compete with Walmart-type stores which have fewer groceries but many more other products. Happily, this H-E-B didn’t seem at all crowded on a Friday morning. I stopped in earlier in the week to purchase a greeting card and a bag of in-season low-priced fresh cherries. I made another small purchase today to take the opportunity of writing this review and take some photos. A store this large will have around 20 cash register lines available, but this morning, it looked like only six or seven were needed. (This doesn't include cash registers used at specialty departments within the store or self-checkout lines.) Besides longer and larger aisles and freezers for everything from butter to deodorant, there was enough space for high-quality Yeti camping equipment and coolers and a variety of outdoor grills. To me, the only negative of this particular store was the way their gardening and live plants departments are set up. Instead of one large patio where a shopper can tell what is carried, the departments are spread all along the entire front area of the main building. So, I could not tell in a brief visit what kind of organic fertilizers are available. A Plus store will need plenty of parking, and this location provides lots of parking without looking like an airport landing strip. There are several trees providing shade in various areas of the parking lot, and I was fortunate to find one on a 100° degree day in San Antonio."
