The Vista Apartments & Townhomes

"I’m still living here & I do not recommend! This is the 2nd time my house not warming up! I have 2 toddlers and I have my heat set to 74! My home temperature is now at 60 degrees! I made a statement before and they recommended I get a space heater & that it was normal to be 67 degrees with Negative degree weather outside ! They don’t want to do their job because that is not normal at all! I’ve never experienced this at any other apartment complex!!!"

"Over the years I spent at The Vista Apartments, it is a well kept property. The Maintenance crew is impeccable in their craft of work. No matter if the problem is an emergency or non emergency, they do amazing work and follow up just make sure everything in the home working well and provide the sense of security to know, “They are there for you and answer the call when you need them.” Truly appreciate the maintenance crew with all the work they do. Thank you."

"Trevor was right there the night we moved in and was so helpful. He even helped me hang my TV’s on his day off. He is a hard worker and tried to make me feel comfortable in a house full of boxes. My Grandson was with me and he found some crayons for him to color with, distracting him while I unpacked my place. Everyone has been so kind and the neighbors even helped look for my dog when she got lost over night. This is a really nice community."

"Hi my experience is that I filled out a application for this complex and put down a deposit. They debited my deposit in like 2 seconds, which is fine. When it was time to return my deposit it has been about a month and I have yet to see it. I was told it was in the mail 2 weeks ago. I was told I would receive a call back about it. I went back to office and was told it can take 3 weeks. Different answers from different people and still no call and no return of my deposit. I like business to be handled like business. Don't say I'm call then don't call. Don't say it's in the mail, it takes 3 weeks, corporate handles it. It's my cash and I don't think I'm being unreasonable. I not trying to give a hard time just do what you say and make it make sense. Unreasonable!!"

"As a property manager/owner myself, I understand the importance of communication, honesty, time, and transparency; which is much lacking at The Vista Apartment and Townhomes. I attempted several times to see the property in person prior to moving but was denied with staff saying “it is not ready”. So I, unfortunately, took their word for the condition of the apartment based off their word and their photos, and moved in. Biggest mistake of my life. In the 41 years of my life, I have lived all over the United States and have never had such a horrible move in experience as I have with the Vista Apartment and Townhomes. For starters the apartment was filthy! My screen door was not even attached when I arrived. -Closet door broken -screen in bedroom broken. -Dead bugs along the carpet baseboards -rusty nail embedded in living room carpet -dirty light fixtures - dirty doorframes -dirty counters - dirty appliances…. you name it, it was absolutely filthy. Utility room ceiling looked damaged. I emailed photo, asked for it to be checked. Fast forward approx 1 week after my email and I have a leaking ceiling in my utility room. Manager states this is due to the AC unit in the vacant apartment upstairs. AC turned off, leak stopped, problem paused. This problem has not been fixed. The Vista Apartment and Townhomes now allows tenants to move into this vacant apartment above me putting me and my apartment at risk if the tenants turn their AC on. For the amount of money I am paying, one would think they could fix the problem before allowing new tenants to move in, this is just bad business, my opinion. This place is a complete rip off, their communication is terrible, and they are dishonest. I am a single working mother who moved here from Holland to start my new role at a local Hospital. My hope was to move, explore the city, start working and enjoy my new home. However, my time was taken from me by the Vista Apartment and Townhomes and I have not been happy in my new home not one day yet. I am convinced this apartment was completely missed as far as cleaning of anything, fixtures, carpets, appliances, changing of outlets or batteries in smoke detectors, safety inspection even, as I am not sure how they felt my utility ceiling was okay in the first place. I have tried to take my concerns to the area manager Patrick, leaving several messages without any response. I have followed the proper chain of command, followed all processes to no avail. I am just looking for some accountability and fairness which unfortunately I have been unable to find here at the Vista Apartment and Townhomes. If you are thinking about moving here I suggest you think twice."
