"Do not move here. In the process of my girlfriend moving out, we could not fit everything in the moving truck we so left some things behind to later be picked up. All of it was taken. Door was locked….so management took everything and played dumb. They refunded some of the items “taken” but not near the amount of money that the items were worth. Save yourself. Don’t live here."

"DO NOT MOVE HERE. This place is terrible. I wish I could give it 0 stars. If you’re considering this place, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Only a few days after move in, I immediately regretted it. I had a number of maintenance issues (that should have been addressed before move in) and maintenance came by to address them. Maintenance, as he was replacing the faulty shower head, informed me that JUST LAST WEEK (before my move in) he made a mistake while he was getting my apartment ready. He said the shower head came off and water ran continuously all over the bathroom while he had to call for help to assist with stopping the flow. He told me this caused a leak in the unit below. Hours after the maintenance visit I received an email from the property manager that I was going to be billed for drywall repairs because of the water on the bathroom floor from my shower. I was stunned. It was SO apparent what they were trying to do here: pin the previous damage on me and pull a fast one on me. Of course I wasn’t going to just let them do that. After some back and forth they said they wouldn’t bill me but that they would in the future. Throughout my stay here I never felt comfortable because I knew what type of people ran this place. And now I just got my security deposit statement and they’re billing me unsurprisingly for alleged drywall tears and other miscellaneous items. This place is terrible. The heat never reached my bedroom so I froze all winter. And it’s an old place so I am certain what they are counting against my security deposit is previous damage from other tenants. I’ve rented in many places and never once did a place not return the full deposit. Also two cars were stolen right out of the parking lot including my neighbor’s car which was parked right by mine. So this place is not safe. The walls are paper thin. There was a mouse in my apartment that was crawling in the walls and never located. I could go on and on. DO NOT MOVE HERE."

"As a newcomer to Grand Rapids, I was lucky to have found a home at Richmond Hills! Everyone I have seen and talked to has been great. The move-in process was easy. There are great amenities, and they are pet friendly!! Any problems/requests are solved quickly. The ambiance of the place makes you feel like you're in nature, while downtown is still very accessible!"

"I moved to Richmond Hills 3 weeks ago and am so glad I did! I work out of my home office and love how peaceful it is, not just during the week but during the weekend as well! I was pleasantly surprised especially with this being one of the very few dog friendly communities. All my neighbors are super friendly and the office staff and maintenance have been so very gracious and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and very well-maintained. The pool looks so inviting I seriously can’t wait to have some downtime to check it out! Living alone it was important for me to find a place where I felt safe, and I love that the buildings do not have access to anyone other than the residents. Fun fact? I used to live here 34 years ago! It’s so much nicer than I remember it to be. :) If you’re looking for a quiet apartment community to call home with a dedicated office and maintenance team, look no further, it’s right here at Richmond Hills!"
