"Room was horrifying. There was so many red flags before you made it into the building. The desk receptionist upon arrival was horrible, rude, and incompetent. The room was deplorable, odious, vile, horrendous, despicable, and all the words that describes disgusting. The ceiling in the bathroom was coming down, after closing the room door, there wasn't an operable lock, the carpet was sticky, the couch was NASTY with white marks and stains that looks like blood, also there appeared to be blood on the wall next to the couch, pulled out the sleeper and discovered bodily fluids, the sheets on the bed appeared to have old blood stains and animal hair, the window was unattached, non- functioning, and without locks. Underneath the kitchenette sink there was a very thick pile of black stuff, the HVAC was inoperable and nasty. The closet door wouldn't open or close. It was stuck in the middle. Upon arriving to the room the elevator had ample amount of powdery substance on the floor, exiting the elevator in the 2nd floor, if you look to the right there I'd very thick plastic, giving the impression that there was rentavation being done. Needless to say it was a Friday and there was NO WORK IN PROGRESS. Approaching the room on the 2nd floor, there appeared to be blood on the walls. The lobby had Christmas decorations still up when entering the building, this was February. The plants in lobby were close to dead. There was 2 CARS in the parking lot when we arrived. Shortly after seeing the room we decided not to stay there and went to another hotel. Arriving at New hotel explaining our situation we were told they always get a bad review. Wish I would have read the shenanigans before hand. Tried to upload videos and pictures, it did not let me. I recommend this hotel to no one but Satan, OSHA, and the Better Business Bureau."

"The room we stayed in had dry blood on the sheets , blankets , and bed. Something on the wall near the couch. The paint/wall paper was peeling off the walls. There was bugs in the food we got from the breakfast area. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know."

"The garbage we had coming into our hotel room. These aren't even all what was wrong with our room. Stained sheets. Dirty shower. Floor had not been vacuumed. I'm pretty sure that's mold on the pull out couch. Food on the door. Hotel phone on the floor. In order to be able to use the phone I had to hold the cord in to be able to even dial the front desk about this mess. My kids were even disgusted with this place."

"Checked online states only one room left which would tell you they are busy NOT. Well you get what you pay for not worth the stay no refunds. They show a pool there is no pool to swim in. for the free hot breakfast they don't serve anything here ONLY THING HOT HERE IS THE WATER. The milk is old and spoiled no juice of any kind one banana in a dirty bowl."

"This hotel in Wixom was very disappointing. The hallways, elevator and breakfast area were dirty, and the pool was closed for maintenance. The bagels set out for breakfast were in a container that obviously had not been washed in a very long time. We did not feel comfortable eating anything. Our room was reasonably clean, but the TV remote did not work, and the light switch upon entering the room also did not work. We arrived around 10 pm from the Detroit airport after a long day of traveling, and left quickly the next morning. Did not report the issues since we were too tired. I tried to send a message in the customer service form provided on the Choice Hotels Customer Support website - I received an error message, even though I filled in all the required information. I refuse to call the phone number and waste any more time. Very poor customer service!"
