"Good morning, Thank you for for finally completing my work order, however I do not appreciate not being informed, before entering my apartment. The work order was sent over a month ago, therefore I should have received a call or an email letting me know that you would be completing my work order on Tuesday February 27th."

"It's been an experience since the weekend before we were to move in. The apt we had waited for a month for had gotten flooded with a storm so bad they had to move us to a different apartment. I appreciate the move but not sure how the people on the bottom floor survive the storms around here. I do see why however. I love our porch but the doors are both severely inadequate. The screen door will constantly come off if you're not delicate with it and the sliding door, which does lock, lets in so much air I can feel the draft with two blankets over them and things blocking the bottom. All the blankets are constantly moving with the wind and of course that makes the apartment cold so the heat kicks on. Gas may be free but every time the heat has to click on I have to pay for it. It's on a lot. Which leads to how dry it can be, even tried a humidifier and couldn't keep humidity in at all, it was blowing right out the windows, so it wasn't worth the electricity cost. I just sit in the bathroom with the shower on every now and then The apartments are old. I can hear every step my neighbor upstairs takes, so the 3am bathroom call for them wakes me up too. Haven't slept right in months. I constantly see and hear maintenance people so I assume they work often but they seem to take a long time to get things done. Had to hear pounding for a couple weeks (they start right at 8am) while they were fixing someone's apt. You get what you pay for. The caulk around the sinks and tub cracks and rips off, you'll find pieces are not quite attached like moulding in the kitchen. It's your average 'do everything as cheaply as possible apartment' but I suppose they pass down the savings so that's something. I have heard stories of them taking the security deposit for meanial things, so patch up any holes in your wall and make sure maintenance fixes everything before you leave. Take pictures when you move in and when you move out. Beware the air conditioner! Clean on top of it! Ours had a thick layer dust on top of goo that I had to spend an hour or so scrubbing clean. It's safe, cops are here all the time, even saw a swat team. Patrols drive around throughout the day and night. They have been building a clubhouse since I moved in and was told it was going to be done around the end of the year I have called a few times and the time gets pushed back, first it was February, the March, now April last I heard. Lots of close amenities like laundry, food, and a Kroger. Avoid the liquor stores, they tend to over charge and change pricing per person or day. Could live here without a vehicle and get by pretty well. Just be careful walking on any grass around here. They don't make people pick up after their dogs and it's a constant minefield. If you're a single person just doing you then I'm sure it's a wonderful place. If you have someone to get cranky to or from because of lack of sleep or children who are lighter sleepers, it may not be the best fit. It's pretty scenery, affordable (as of the 1st year), and it seems like the people are generally friendly."

"After a month of trying to get things resolved, some of my maintenance requests are still unfulfilled. A maintenance guy came out on 12/22 to take care of mold around my windows. He said he would come the following Wednesday to reseal the counters in the kitchen and bathroom because they're cracking. He never showed up. There are still other various maintenance requests that are uncompleted, even though I've called a dozen times. People at the leasing office keep telling me they'll take care of things, but nothing ever happens. This has been an ongoing problem the whole 6 years I've been living here, but it's gotten even worse the last couple months. You guys need to do better. This is terrible customer service. Update 2/15/24 There's still one maintenance request that I'm waiting on. The paint in my bathroom is peeling off in large chunks. The request was put in on 1/30. I understand that they have to go through a 3rd party for this, but I anticipate it will take months before anyone shows up and that I'll have to follow-up multiple times. Also, I provided proof of renter's insurance as requested, yet The Village opened a renter's insurance policy anyway through Assurant in my name and sent me a bill. I called Assurant, and they confirmed that I did indeed provide proof of insurance over a month ago. They canceled the policy for me. I'm angry that The Village did this despite my proof. Furthermore, it would be nice if they updated my apartment. The flooring is ugly, and the kitchen and bathroom floors have been damaged by maintenance in the past. The windows need to be replaced badly."

"I just moved in and the experience was seamless. I moved into the area from a different state and the leasing crew were very accommodating. Everything was done online and did not require a lot other than what was necessary. Highly recommend!"

"I’ve lived here for 2+ years and appreciate the timely responses to my maintenance request such as a clogged bathroom sink, replacement of a toilet seat, window, bedroom blind, and quick response when I locked myself out. The preventative maintenance program is very thorough. Kudos to the groundskeeper for assuring the areas are always exceptionally clean. The leasing office staff are 2nd to none. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant."
