"I would LITERALLY GIVE THIS MOTEL NO STARS IF I COULD!! Went to look at for my son, and once I unlocked the door the smell was SO BAD that all I could do was stand outside and gag. My husband went in and said that there is mold, I could see from the door it was dirty and there was tape covering a hole in the bathroom. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!! I would build a shelter outside and trust it before staying here!!"

"Place is filthy and definitely seen cockroaches in room 214 don't recommend!!!"

"We got a room here in a jam and wish we would have slept in our damn car. $75 for a room with a kicked in front door, kicked in sliding door that was taped back up poorly, the place smelled like a wet ashtray, we found a candy wrapper in the bedding which was not fresh, drawers had dead and live cockroaches and eggs inside, and the kicker was when it began to storm and the water was coming in onto the late 70s couch bed and phone. They have you initial "no refunds" before you see the room even....we spent an extra $60 on disinfectant spray, candles, bed bug/roach spray, and all new bedding that we letft there....we SURVIVED the Golden Eagle...we should get a T-shirt. Michigan; is there no regulations for motels???? Would rather jump into a hospital HIV unit "sharps" container that to pull into the parking lot of this meth mansion."

"Worst place I've stayed in my entire 37 years on earth! First off, what motel is using actual keys for rooms in 2022?! While we're on the doors, be lucky if you have much of one left. Most doors look like they've been kicked in several times! No deadbolt or security latch for added security. One swift kick and anyone can join your stay! Thats just the doors. Carpet is absolutely foul, smelly, various cigarette and pipe burns with large patches of carpet just gone. No windows to open and cranking heat controlled by front office in May! Old $10 tube TV on a dresser with pipe burns and cigarette burns all over it. Room was so warm that the fridge was defrosting on to the floor. Lastly, if you like roaches and bed bugs this is your spot! You'll see many friends, even if you're stay is less than 5 hours like mine. How Berrien County or the state of Michigan allows this piece of trash spot to exist and take money still is beyond me. I'd give this place a thorough review before the County or State have a nasty lawsuit on their hands. You can't convince me this place passes any kind of standards of cleanliness checks as required as an owner/operator of a hospitality property. You've been warned and would enjoy finding a spot in nature over this trap any day! Any positive reviews have to either be family of owners or people being offered free stays to post positively. Check yourself and tell me otherwise."
