"My husband and I stayed here while in GR for a concert. The initial draw for us was that this hotel is connected to the arena via a skywalk system. Being able to so easily walk from hotel to concert and back (and stay warm in the process) makes me happy. The rooms here were comfortable and clean. Service by all the hotel staff was very good. And there's a Starbucks in the hotel, so caffeine (AKA nectar) is easily accessible. We come to GR for concerts several times a year, and will definitely be staying here again."
"Great location to happening activities in Grand Rapids, staff is super friendly, rooms are a bit worn, surrounding rooms got a little loud at night. Overall still not a bad experience and be sure to grab a meal or coffee at the hotel restaurant ."
"They say each room has a refrigerator, but it’s false advertising. My wife pumps breast milk for our infant son and when she called down to ask about the warm fridge, front desk said it is “more of a cooler” that has to be reactivated every 2 or 8 hours. They wouldn’t store it for us downstairs in theirs either. So if you are a mommy who pumps, you should stay elsewhere if you want your kid to eat. The room also smelled like they spilled a drum of Lysol on the floor. JW next time for sure."
"I grew up in the plaza apartments and it was such a glorious place when we stayed there and it has changed so much. I wish I could say for the best but the spa rooms are tiny and don't work very well. They replaced the ginormous spa rooms that could fit 12 plus people comfortably. Two spa rooms that can barely fit three people on their website it stated that everything was fully functional but when we arrived the hot tub was and disrepair and it kind of looked excessive for a remodel job if that's what it is. The rooms were adequate but you used to be better especially for the price that you pay per night"
"Excellent Staff! Prime location! Mel and Sheresse J. Are excellent servers who made my request for blue cheese stuffed olives happen. I appreciate their efforts and the kitchen staff for a great experience during my stay. The food was good, drinks tasty and beds comfy for the nights rest. Was very impressed with how well the check-in staff handled our large group. Everyone had a great smile and was efficient and effective. Thank everyone for the experience."
