The East End

"After living in The East End for 4.5 years, I can say that this is the best building in Akron to live in. Management is terrific and direct; with the primary point of contact being the same, dedicated property manager, Jackie, throughout my entire lease. Additionally, the maintenance team, led by Joe, is ridiculously quick and efficient to address any issues. I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours, even for something non-urgent. Security has never been a point of concern, with key fob scanned entrances and elevators. There are at least 3 key swipe points to get to your apartment at night. Additionally, The East End has dedicated security, 24 hours. The apartments are legitimately unique; which is something harder and harder to find. The giant windows that most ( if not all) apartments have let in a significant amount of light, and are simply aesthetically pleasing. However; the building is historical, and that comes with some VERY minor things to take note of: First, the walls will “ ache” or “ creak” quietly for a few seconds, notably during winter months or when your heat kicks on. This hasn’t ever bothered me, but I could see it aggravating some individuals. Secondly, my utility bill sits decently higher than my previous apartments in Akron, but I acknowledge that my unit’s utilities are unusually high in comparison to the rest of the building. Third and finally, the elevators in this building are incredibly inconsistent, with frequent outages. That said, there’s three of them, so at least one is ALWAYS available. These minor downsides, for me, don’t impact this buildings reputation at all. This is, and will remain, Akron’s best apartment building."

"The East End is an excellent place to live and by far the best place I have ever lived! The building is clean, quiet, modern and spacious. The location is great and it is such a good value considering all of the great amenities included. The building really has everything you could ask for. Jackie the property manager is amazing as well! She is very friendly, attentive and available. She really goes above and beyond for all of the tenants at The East End. I would highly recommend living here."

"This is by far the best place to live. The apartments are newly renovated, great taste for the decor. Everything was impecable and the atmosphere is quiet and great to work from home. Jackie the property manager is the best, great attention to detail and always helpful, always open to accommodate and help with our needs. Es de los mejores lugares para vivir. "Lived here for 2 years and enjoyed it a lot. I had two amazing lofts -moved to a bigger loft after 1year. I found Jackie the manager to be the kindest and most accomodating lease manager I've ever met. She goes above and beyond to listen to your concerns and needs! There are a lot of events though and parking is tricky- always best to get the underground parking. Also, the building is old and the freight elevator had it's share of problems. But occasionally you got random tickets to events at Goodyear Hall. Overall, it was a nice place to live, close to most major highways and restaurants nearby!"

"Great apartments! Moved down to Akron from CLE, and the value you get here cannot be beat! Between the abundance of parking, stylish units, security and amenities, it is way better than any of the buildings I lived at in CLE. The gym is great, staff is exceptional (especially Jackie!), residents friendly, and Labelle's Barber on the first floor gives a top notch cut. Take a tour, and you will be blown away like we were!"
