"Lived here for a little over 2 years and really enjoyed it! My neighbors were quiet and never had an issue with noise. In the 2 years I have only submitted a few maintenance requests for simple things, but all of my appliances and heat/AC have worked great. Love going to the pool in the summers! And nice to sit out on my balcony on warmer days. I always felt pretty safe here as a young woman, occasionally will see police cars parked outside but never witnessed any break-ins or car damage myself. Location is great, right by the beautiful Portage Lakes but also really close to access the highways. Overall would highly recommend Newport Landing!"

"We just renewed our lease here and we have loved our time so far compared to the horror stories I hear from friends that live other places. Management does a great job with finding temporary solutions to maintenance issues when they cannot be addressed at that moment. We have a garage remotely close to our building which is nice! The only thing negative I would say the raise in rent after renewing but I would rather pay what I am now then what other apartments are charging also we knew this could occur and its not that much more. I have done a lot of research when it comes to apartments and this one for sure you get the most bang for your buck if you want an apartment style living which is perfect while going to school!"

"DO NOT RENT HERE. This place is awful. So many things to be said. Dangerous, security out the window with the parking lots, has affected my ability to run a business, and live safely in here. There are constant problems with car theft, catalytic converter theft, felony vandalism, according to our community page someone stole a weapon out of someone’s car, etc. it’s like the Wild West in here and the owners/management couldn’t care less. They’ll raise their rent prices 26% in the same calendar year, but won’t pay a dime to make sure the place is secure and safe to live in and it run a business out of. Absolute nightmare. Do not rent here. Overpriced, all sorts of problems, very poorly managed and I don’t direct that at the leasing agents or maintenance, they all seem like good people. But it comes from farther up the chain from what I can tell. Greedy owners, or their very high management way over the girls in the leasing office. Awful awful place. Had my truck damaged in a felony vandalism situation and all this place is concerned about is trapping me and forcing me to stay and continue to deal with this and see what else happens to my property or myself."

"A great place to call “home.” I live here alone and could not feel safer. It’s a nice touch that my neighbors have loved living here for years and we look out for each other. The location is ideal, being just minutes down Main St. from The University of Akron and shopping off Arlington Rd. Plus the highways (I76, I77, Rte 224, I277) are down the road and malls are a 15-minute commute. It’s a vibrant town in the summer with parks, trails, golf courses and water fun on the lakes. The leasing staff always greets you with a smile, are very helpful and quick to attend any maintenance concerns that arise. The grounds and facilities are well-maintained, workout room is open 24/7 and the pool is a great time for family, friends, and meeting neighbors! Highly recommend, you truly get what you pay for."
