"Johnson Apartments has undergone an amazing transformation over the last 3 years. There have been many upgrades to the building (security system, new roof, new hallway floors, laundry machines) and maintenance issues are addressed very quickly. The tenant mix has greatly improved. All of the deadbeats are gone. All tenants are either working or retired. People are all super nice and respectful. Building is super quiet, no smoking and it is just a pleasure to live there. Units are very large updated and affordable. Oh I almost forgot about the new work out room."

"I have lived in 3 different Apts in The Johnson Bldg in Painesville, as my life needs have changed thru the years. Our new owner has made himself available giving us his personal phone# which is wonderful to be able to communicate directly to the owner who is invested in and cares about the bldg. If our maintenance man is not able to fix the problem the owner doesn't hesitate to hire and send a professional asap. He wants to always be made aware of any issues we may have, and he promptly addresses it. Within walking distance is anything you could possibly need. Anything !! I love my neighbors and living on town square which is beautiful year round. I hope to enjoy and continue living here for many years."

"I’ve lived at Johnson Apartments for over three years now and I totally recommend it. The owner/management work to make sure this is a great place to live for everyone! The building has a lot of longterm residents so it’s very quiet. Neighbors are friendly, and honestly, you don’t see them a whole lot, but we’re there for each other if need be. In fact, my downstairs neighbor fed my cat while I was in Florida last Christmas and didn’t even want to accept any money for it! It’s just overall, a great, hometown, community. Plus the pricing for the apartments here is great for what they’re offering. I looked at one bedrooms last summer and they were small and dirty compared to my newly renovated studio apartment."

"Only experienced the new management so my review will differ from the previous reviews a bit. I would say that for the pricepoint and location this apartment was wonderful. My apartment was gigantic, the landlord was a very reasonable person, easy to get ahold of via text or email. I spent a year there and Id still live there if life didnt have other plans for me. I have even recommended this apartment complex to other people looking for an affordable place to live"

"People in Ashtabula,never in office,apartments have tarps in windows,spray paint in separators dividing apartments, look rundown, office a mess, manager seems overwhelmed,not knowledgeable and can't take care of properties. Takes money for background check and gets ready to move you in. Back tracks, INFORMATION that they give you every other day. Keeps personal documentation. Don't apply unless you know what your in for. NO EVICTIONS ALLOWED. THEY WON'T TELL YOU THIS. They don't supply fridge or stove, and pro rate rent is NOT the month you move in,it's the NEXT MONTH!! GO FIGURE!!"
