Dollar General

"I could take it or leave it. It’s close by my house so I will make the occasional weekend snack run here. They have a decent variety of snack foods and candy, but whether or not their selections are stocked is the thing. They seem to understaff all Dollar Generals and leave the few employees that are there to deal with stocking, customers and any of their usual tasks. I feel terribly for them and often see them struggle. They seem to never have management there to help them while dealing with difficult customers and seem to have very little oversight. Despite this, the employees are usually friendly and helpful (if they have the time/opportunity). Their aisles drive me nuts though. Most of the merchandise that needs to be stocked takes up a lot of aisles. In some areas, it is downright hazardous and makes the store difficult to navigate at times. I’m surprised that the fire marshal hasn't had to step in yet. If this store wasn’t so close to my house, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. I wish Dollar Generals were better places to work, then they would be better places for their customers."

"i have been coming to this dollar general for 12 years and it’s always been a good store, but more recently has gone WAYYY down hill. i’m so sick and tired of going there during store hours and the doors being locked but the lights being on. it’s getting really ridiculous. something needs to be done about it."

"Went to store on 6/17 @ 21:35 to get items for my sick child when I was yelled to across the parking lot by a store employee saying we are closed. Inquired about the store hours and was ignored by the employee and manager was giggling about what she said. Then a few minutes later googled the store to see what the hours are and shockingly they are opened to 10pm. I called the store and inquired if they where open and the person claiming to be Katie "store manager" said they where open and that she was closing down the store then HUNG THE PHONE UP ON ME. Made a second attempt on a phone call in a claming voice asked why I was hung up on, and would like her district mgr phone number then she quickly was claiming that she had a "family emergency" or we close the store down when there is a "LARGE TRUCK" and that if I didn't like it shop somewhere else..... Then HUNG THE PHONE UP AGAIN. This is not the FIRST TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED to which it happens quite frequently at this store. Maybe a surprise mystery shop or a surprise corporate visit should be incorporated into the values of dollar general. But oh well, from what I read and hear that nobody cares anyways and I'll make sure my council members know as well as the mayor and public officials about incidents like this so we can protect our community. I recommend DO NOT SHOP HERE ANYMORE."

"Went there to buy tons of plates and the female associate didn’t even bother by placing them in a box or a bag. Rude customer service. Waited 20 min to get checked out. Never shopping there again smh."

"I'm in this store probably five times a week.. you always have my dog food, the store is clean and the girls are so nice there. Even the new young man that works there is very nice. They do need to stock unsweet/diet tea in the jugs.. preferably Dairymen's. also more puppy pads!!!"
