"I hate to resort to giving a bad review on a business. The doctors are skilled and competent. No problem there.I am grateful for their help. I don’t know who keeps their financial records. I have been a patient for 25 years or in that ballpark.I had cataract surgery for both eyes.Before each surgery I paid $1300. In Medicare billing one doesn’t receive the deductible bill immediately.It could take a month or two.So my first deductible paid. My second deductible the payments were a little lower. So now my bill is 98% paid.One more payment I am done. It was agreed upon.So for a bill of over $3100.00 I owe $50.I receive a notice in red and pink letterhead that I am delinquent.I called their billing dept. and here after looking it up the one person told me my previous payment was overlooked. She took my payment gave me a confirmation no. Told me I have a balance of $50.00 So here comes the phone call.Wouldnt identify himself. I have never had a call from a collection agency in 45 years. I am informed of my $150 bill .I called the other office. Where I was informed that I never paid that bill or on it in 8 months.I never received it then. I have NEVER missed a payment. Would have paid the $50 today but they would probably mix that up also.Made a complaint to Medicare and they can deal with it.I want to pay but someone is very incompetent in that office.This staff what a headache."

"I have been seeing Dr Smit for 4 years now. He has been wonderful in helping me understand everything that has been going on with my eyes. Recently I had to have my eyelids lifted because I have a form of ptosis I can’t remember the exact name and he did a great job. I can see my eyeballs again. He has a great bedside manner and he smiles and is personable. And the staff and the McKinley location is just as nice as the North Canton location. I switched because Canton is closer. Thank you for all that you do when I come in to the office"
