"I called due to bleeding but I was told Dr Shay isn’t seeing her patients rather she is scheduling everyone with her Nurse Practioner & it would be a month before the nurse could see me. The staff advised I go to Aultmun ER if the bleeding continued. The bleeding got so bad I ended up going to the ER, spent for 4 days in the hospital and had to have two transfusions. When I got to the ER I found the office staff failed to mention Dr Shay no longer serviced Aultman Hospital. I couldn’t be moved so another doctor had to be brought in. The ER doctor needed to review my records, especially the most recent colonoscopy done with Dr Shay, so I requested a copy sent over. After discharge I really wanted to review everything with Dr Shay and try to get answers for what I was going through. I confirmed my long awaited appt with Dr Shay’s NP, showed up on time for my 7am appt, to find out Dr Shay cancelled it & cancelled all future services, because of my having my past records reviewed by the ER doctor. I talked with Dr Shay, she was cold and didn’t care that she was leaving me without medical care. I absolutely do not recommend Dr Mona Shay’s practice!"

"I hate this place. I would definitely not recommend them. Especially Mona Shay. She did not listen, rushed through my appointment, and I ended up with serious consequences. I immediately fell ill for 6 weeks following my upper endoscopy (which was traumatic/unkind and came back normal), the proton pump inhibitor she all too willingly prescribed exasperated my sensitive system and I now have kidney disease, and she ignored my lower GI concerns and I ended up with a severe case of rectal bleeding. They even refused to see me today, could not tell me when I could reschedule, and told me to leave. I am a high risk individual as a teacher, but I also have some serious underlying health conditions that I am afraid will make any future illness significantly more serious. Save yourself or loved one some heart ache and go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE."
"ER dr told me to call GI for HIDA scan for suspected gallbladder issue. It was urgent, he told me I needed it in the next 2-4 days. I had to call 7 times just to get through, then they told me I'd have to come in for an office visit first despite being an established patient, and the first available appt they had is 3 weeks from now."
