"A major disappointment. My wife and I spent this January in a villa (#5) which was in serious need of some upgrading. A couple of issues made the stay an unhappy vacation. The unit had two beds in it and the mattresses on both are in such poor shape that they should be thrown in the dumpster. There are area carpets in the main area and the kitchen that are so filthy that we could not go barefoot in the unit and after only a trip or two to the kitchen or bathroom the bottoms of our white socks were dirty. The bathroom is small and we expected that, but the shower is so small that it is almost non-functional. If you are a large person or fairly rotund you will have difficulty using the shower. The shower could even result in problems if you are elderly and perhaps getting a balance problem. There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom and my wife had to dry her hair in the main room. The only redeeming factor of staying there was the location; the location is great and the manager and our neighbors were very friendly. Oh, one more thing, the walls between the units are so thin in certain spots that you can pretty much make out everything your neighbors are saying. Of, course that means that they can hear you also."

"Met some new life long friends and for that reason we would return again. Venice is a nice small town with plenty to do near by and is also known as the shark tooth capital of the world. Some of the villas have wifi and some do not. The pool is nice but not heated and was unusable the entire 6 wks we were there (Jan-Feb)."

"A wonderful place to spend the winter months. I really have enjoyed being there. And I have made life long friends there. The same people come back year after year. That says lot about the place. Units are clean, very nice. The only place on the island with an Olympic size pool. And it's right on the beach!!!!"
