Venetian Walk Senior & Family Apartments

"My Mom was one of the original residents when Venetian Walk opened. She lived there until I had to move her to a skilled nursing facility a few months ago. Naturally, it is a great location and the place looks like a high end luxury resort. However, that is not why I’m giving them 5 stars. They earned it because of the people. The residents were always kind to her. They were always welcoming her to all of the many activities they had on site. That tone and culture is set by the wonderful people who work there. The maintenance team and the administrators were always helpful. What touched me the most was the Manager. Jolene did things for her that were way above and beyond the call of duty. I won’t list those things here out of respect for her privacy. However, I will state one of them. Despite her demanding schedule, she wrote my mom a wonderful hand written letter several months after she was gone to make sure she is doing well. Only people who truly care about others do those kinds of things."

"Venetian Walk is located in walking distance to historic downtown Venice, where many events take place all year long, and is close to restaurants, shopping, public transportation and the beach. The building has plenty of amenities and there are many activities offered to the residents. Managers have open door policy with welcoming smiles even if they are busy. Building is relatively new with bright, attractive apartments with a nice layout, a very spacious bathroom and screened lanai and utility room. Venetian Walk is a great place to live in."

"A great place to live!! Senior apartments for adults 62+,pet friendly. Convenient to shopping,restaurants,and transportation.Social activities and many amenities are available.Elevators,and laundry facilities on each of 4 stories. A beautiful pocket park adjoining the property.Building and grounds are clean and well maintained. Management and maintenance staff always greet me with smiles and hellos.They're friendly,helpful and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. I'm very happy to be residing here."

"Venetian Walk in Venice Florida. 61 units. 8 are two bedroom, 53 are 1 bedroom. I've lived here since this building opened in 2014. Most neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. A few regulars come out to the various social events sponsored by management. Everything that happens is in the manner of a top-down chain of authority. This is unfortunate to me. I know many gifted neighbors who could initiate opportunities. The kitchen is locked, prohibitive signs are posted in the dining room and media lounge. We are already at a stage in life marked by physical, economic, and social limits. Now we must heed repressive ‘rules’?"
