Woodmere Apartments of Venice

"Moved here 11 months ago.Was great,slowly got sick Sinusitis acute bronchitis,headaches,cough,congestion nose bleeds constantly. Noticed white silky powder all over belongings. Maintenance in,gave a better air filter didn't know what substance was. In and out of urgent care,doctors offices on antibiotics,Prednisone,inhaler Did a home mold test ,showed a lot of findings here. VP of Gallina Mgt stated we need a Fla State Certified air/ humidity tech to come in. Did this Certified tech here for 2 hours . Tested air duct loaded with mold and took many pictures air/ humidity tests.Air quality came back ok, test on air ducts showed mold in toxic level which actually causes my resp issues.Gallina Mgt VP fully aware and we have tried to settle this nicely, as all our linen belongings mattress and furniture new and no good. Unit has level 2 mold infestation with level 3 remediation needed according to FLA State guidelines.which were all stated in detailed report from highly recognized mold company with many certifications. VP states we we misinformed,his mold guy reviewed it yet he can give no documentation of this . MD has give a note to vacate r/t health issues VP of Gallina Mgt won't let us. We are out alot of money and have been treated poorly This place is old and not updated and built in the 90s Don't let the reasonable rent fool you.maintence team hard workers here rightly so, this place needs a lot of help.Not worth you health for a rent deal."

"Lived here for 2 years & have had a very good experience. Great office & maintenance staff. Pool & deck are kept incredibly clean & neat. Apartments are well maintained & in a nice area."

"I have lived in the Apartments of Venice for 25 years and enjoy the experience. It is quiet and the landscaping is beautiful with a gardening crew here weekly. Maintenance is quick to respond and the office staff is friendly and efficient. We are close to a library, Woodmere Park, shopping centers, restaurants and drug stores. Alligator Creek provides a mile-long hiking trail. I am very pleased to be here and plan on staying."

"FYI If you like your health do not move to Woodmere. I have been sick for two year’s straight. Andre informed me Woodmere will not test for mold. I have a white dust on my furniture, countertops and walls. I hired All Dry USA to inspect my apartment. Just as I thought. My apartment has toxic mold. My doctor advised me to move immediately and that’s just what I will be doing. See attached report from All Dry USA."
