"Issues we had for 1 year of renting from Coldwell Banker,specifically Sam Daniels: Application Process: Drove 500 miles (with movers in transit) to be told that our rental application was incomplete (even though we confirmed prior to moving that everything was already set). Issues with appliance repairs: Mr Daniel's was condescending when asked for assistance and wouldn't always address the problems. We had to repair most issues ourselves or they were never resolved. Early Termination: Since the rental contract did not state how to terminate our lease early (we were purchasing a home), we asked Mr Daniel's what our options were. At first he was willing to assist until we told him we were not using Coldwell Banker. At that point, he stated he didn't know what the early termination agreement was, but instead made up some random (very expensive) stipulations to keep us from moving. Upon Vacating: We personally dropped off the remotes and provided a forwarding address to Mr. Daniel's. At that time he stated we should have our deposit back within 15 days (by Florida law). 21 days later we had yet to receive our deposit so we followed up by email to Mr. Daniel's. We did not received a response. Thirty four days later, we contacted the branch manager who finally assisted in getting our deposit back. Advice: Avoid Coldwell Banker, specifically Sam Daniel's. In addition, if you call (or even show up personally) at the Bloomingdale office, the secretary is not the most personable and will only address you when it convenient for her. Not to mention, you have a 50/50 chance of having her forward a message. Realtors are a dime a dozen, go elsewhere!"
