"I’ve lived here for 2 1/2 years and it’s been a terrible decision to move here. They tried to raise my rent $400 without notice. Every renewal has come with increase, I told them I wouldn’t pay that and they “settled” for a $150 increase. To even try to raise my rent by $400 at renewal is criminal! They changed the parking permit passes with notification only to the tow truck companies so I literally walk out to my car being gone and the tow company saying “at some point” they changed the parking passes. No communication on this to residents so my notification is a $225 impound ticket! The front office can literally lie to you and it doesn’t matter because it’s not in the lease(literally written on the lease). I moved here under conventional housing terms just for them to change it back to student housing with no consideration for the families already living here. Add in what every one else is saying as well, regularly closed amenities, constant internet outages, and incompetent staff.I wouldn’t wish this apartment on someone I disliked, let alone someone I care about. Overall, unless you want to throw money away to an immoral, greedy company, DON’T MOVE HERE!"

"Forest Lake apartments is the WORST apartment complex ever. I thought my previous apartment was bad (The Ivy) and this place has proven me wrong. My roommate and I are constantly having to submit maintenance requests which we get no notifications when they are entering. We even had a maintenance worker staring at our picture collage and we saw over the camera we have in our living room. When this issue was brought up to the main office, the girl Zoey just dismissed our concerns and was rude about it. The wi-fi is always going out and the gym has a lot of broken equipment that can be dangerous. Last year (2023) in June I went to use the stairmaster and the belt was broken and I almost fell off of it. When I went to let the front office know, they said that they already knew and a request to get it fixed was in. There was no sign on the stairmaster for months and it is still broken now in January. The air intake was extremely dirty and since maintenance is terrible, I decided to take it upon myself and clean it. When I removed the vent cover I found the most disgusting and revolting amount of dust and mold. Guess that’s why i’m always waking up with a stuffy nose! Every time I have an issue here at this complex it’s approached so unprofessionally and i’m given very passive aggressive responses from the “professionals”. Safe to say I will always advise anyone that mentions this place’s name to NOT sign a lease here because it’s way over priced for the incredibly horrid living conditions. I don’t want a reply from anyone about how you’re “willing to resolve these outstanding issues” because honestly this place just needs to be torn down and rebuilt by people who know what they’re doing. Thank you! -Sonya L."

"This apartment has good pricing. It is a bit outdated, but everything works good. Still in for the price you’re paying it makes sense. We love our patio and having An outdoor scene. Although the maintenance is really great at coming fast, too things like washer, issues or even changing an air-conditioning vent. Their customer service team hasn’t really helped me out a lot. I have for this whole semester had a terrible noise complaint and have sent videos of proof many times, and as other people around me, have also done the same thing, because they are disrupting not one but many people and they haven’t done anything to fix that. Due to that, I would not renew my lease because there’s no way I can keep sleeping and getting woken up every single night. The pool is really nice and big. Overall, I would rated a three they could use some work, but also do very well in certain areas"

"Don’t listen to the majority of the negative reviews, typically young adults with unrealistic expectations. The place is clean and affordable, maintenance comes regularly or as soon as you put in a work order. My experience has been very positive although sometimes I feel at off hours can see some non-residents wander in and try to use the amenities. At least in my experience under weller management it has been organized, clean, and maintained they have been making upgrades regularly. Since, I have moved in on a monthly basis. Internet, computer room, upgraded mail room, and shower heads/toilets for everyone"

"The pool is the best pool I’ve ever been to. I even went back as a non-resident. The apartments however - bad. Over-priced, old, small kitchen, and dingy common area. The bedrooms are alright, decently spacious, and have large windows. When moving in, they do not make sure the common area is clean. For college living, I would not recommend. Hopefully new management makes changes, besides increase rates like they’ve already done."
