Lake Louisa State Park Campground - Loop A

"Love it here. There is no sand in all camp sites, only tiny stones. Our breaker on power pole didn't close when we arrived, so we called office. They sent someone out to check and we needed a new breaker. This was on a Sunday. Wonderful staff and great camp hosts. Very clean park. We go here as often as we can. Very hard to reserve a spot."

"Fantastic State Park! Large, shaded camping spots. Plan to spend some time so you can canoe or kayak, plus hike the trails and even go biking. They also offer horseback rides and a Segway tour of the park. There is an amazing breeze at this park, so the mosquitos are not a huge problem. The park rangers were super helpful and knowledgeable about the area."

"Wow! The campground is extremely well cared for. The sites are spacious and most are very private (and level). The bathrooms, showers, and laundry were all exceptional. Lots of choices: pull thru, back in, primitive, tent, glamping, cabins and "eco tents". Easy online reservations. The park was magical. Lots to do and see. I saw many deer and tortoise. Los of wild life and I saw wild orange trees. Easy trails for walks or rent a kayak. We will be back."

"Not great. Not awful. At best, mediocre. For a State Park it seemed a bit abandoned. State Parks are in the same category as the majestic National Parks. This one falls short. Besides literally a handful of visitors and RV’s, the highlights I encountered were the Glamping tents and the weathered cabins. I found the luxury tents cute and the wooden cabins seemed quite large. If this park sees any activity it must be on weekends. I didn’t see much. Not many birds; definitely no bears; one little squirrel; a handful of humans and an alligator trying to resurface on one of the lakes. I can’t even imagine how it must be at night. Besides that, the only other sign of humanity was at The Camper Canteen, where I got to meet Lisette. At the Canteen, besides getting snacks, you can make arrangements for bike & kayak rentals and for renting the glamping tents as well. The thought of being all alone at night with a handful of strangers and no WiFi in a desolated park surrounded by alligators and wildlife, it’s a frightening thought indeed. A very frightening thought."
