"I recently stayed at the Boca Raton Cloister with my mom, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The property itself was stunning, with beautifully manicured landscapes and gardens that added to the charm of the place. We had the pleasure of dining at Sadelle's and Marisol, where the food exceeded our expectations; although the service was a bit sluggish and the food was somewhat overpriced (which was expected given the quality and setting), it was still enjoyable. Coming from New York accustomed to a faster pace, the leisurely pace took a little adjustment. Nonetheless, the staff were generally friendly and accommodating, except for one individual at the front desk during the overnight shift, whose name unfortunately escaped me. The water taxi provided a convenient and pleasant way to access the beach property, and both the pools and beaches were idyllic spots to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, despite a few minor hiccups, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, and I would certainly consider returning in the future."

"We enjoyed our stay but the bed wasn't good so we won't be back. Pros: All common areas were beautiful and spotless . They were well staffed and everyone we interacted with was nice and helpful. They offered great pools. We went for the spa and it was top notch, one of the best spa experiences of my life. The food was good but not amazing. Cons: The bed was extremely firm, if you don't prefer a hard bed you won't sleep. The pillows were flat, we requested foam pillows (which they offer) several times and never successfully got them. Food and drinks are overpriced. Yeah it's resort prices but $32 for three tacos with no sides and $9 for lemonade seems excessive. The room felt too small for the price point."

"Worst experience ever. As we were landing we get an email that the pools will be closed for maintenance for 2 days. The woman at the front desk has no idea. The acting manager has no idea and thinksnitbis due to the weather. The real manager was gone because they were sick!!! We asked to move to the beach club where the pools will be open but did not know how to do that. No idea how they call themselves a luxury hotel with great service! Not sure about the other reviews online Forbes should look at these reviews. Usually stay a the Ritz nearby, but people suggested to try this place. UPDATE. 1 day later, we were offered to switch rooms. Much better this time. Everyone today was wonderful, polite, helpful. It's like a totally different place . That can probably explain the opposing reviews. Everything is expensive, but excellent quality and food wonderful. UPDATE #2: New room a/C kept breaking and for the last 2 days we were up till 1:30am with a repair person trying to fix! Nobody will reach out! GOOD PEOPLE ALONE DO NOT MAKE UP FOR POORLY MAINTAINED OLD BUILDINGS. if you look at prices in busy season it is in the $800s. People should stay away. Acknowledging the issues alone by management is not enough!!"

"If you work hard for your money and don't like hidden fees, don't stay here! Overall the resort is nice, with fairly good service but the additional fees left me with a very sour taste. I made my booking through Agoda which said all fees were included. I called the hotel who said that usually third party bookings included resort fees. Then upon checking out: Parking is 60$ per day -- with mandatory valet. But at least they're upfront about that. There's also a 60$ per day resort fee. I told them I called and they said there was usually no resort fee and they absolutely refused... If you work hard for your money and don't like hidden fees, don't stay here!"
