"Great location within walking distance of old Dunedin. Property is old and unfortunately started to smell its age our last night. Had to open the bathroom window and keep the door shut to reduce the sewer odor. Room could have been cleaner, particularly the floor."

"I stayed for 2 nights in a 2nd floor room with balcony. The woman helping me at the front desk was so nice and helpful. The place is clearly well taken care of. I will absolutely stay here again if I’m back in the area. Also they are pet friendly and that was great."

"Six night stay. Easy check-in. Room was exactly as described prior to arrival. Pool was unavailable due to renovation. Never got above 65 so no worries there. Breakfast was your typical hotel fare. Well staffed and food was hot. Comfortable room with balcony. Lots of channels on tv. Lot busy in evening due to restaurant. Overall a good stay."

"We loved this hotel. It's an older property, but it's well maintained with a friendly staff. The property has delicious coffee and other beverages (like hot chocolate) that you can access in the lobby area, with Coffee Mate creamer too. In the morning, a very nice breakfast is available with hot items, including eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, oatmeal, and waffles. They even had boiled eggs in the fridge, as well as pastries and fruit. Coffee, juice, milk, and more were available to drink. The hotel has a good amount of amenities on property and around, too. The pool and hot tub were closed due to renovation, but it was too cold to use them anyway. In addition to amazing views, guests can also take advantage of the fitness center and complimentary electric vehicle charging, which had two spaces available. The pier is within walking distance, and a very nice park was across the street. Our daughter enjoyed the playground, which included swings (and baby swings), slides, rocker, merry go round, and other very nice equipment. Lots of restaurants and shops are also nearby and can easily be reached by walking. We had the whirlpool suite, and it was wonderful. The air was comfortable, and the whirlpool worked perfectly. The shower was nice, and the bathroom even included sauna lights. I also appreciated that the fridge had a small freezer area. If there was a negative during our stay, it was the elevator, which was very small, and I believe the inspection may have expired, although it worked without issue, we just didn't like the size. The luggage cart barely fit in it, but we made it work and had no issues. The stairs were easy enough to use. The property overall was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. We actually would love to stay here again and see more of Dunedin. It was a hidden gem that we had never noticed before. We look forward to our return visit!"
