"Should one ever encounter this man, (dr. Agawar) you should know he is in the wrong field. I was admitted to the hospital in Altamonte for what turned out to be ulcers in my stomach while pn vacation. Here is my Exact experience for this person who qualifies as a doctor. Upon meeting me, i could not find anyone with less warmth and bedside manner. Cold as a fish and made me feel like a number. I could tell he had a prideful and overblown sense of self by his rigid and unfriendly tone. He was curt. He decided he wanted an endoscopy in the am. He does not disclose that if he were to find something to be biopsied i would have to wait in the hospital before release. He didnt care one bit about me, the human. He knew i was to leave to go home to Idaho in a few days. The next morning arrives. He is blatantly late. Upon entering room, he does not even say hello or smile and goes behind an obstructed view to type. The techs and anesthesiologist has me ready to go and i wanted to know the results of my gallbladder ultrasound the prior day. This shell of a person does not tell me. Nor does he even come to the procedural bedside until i am injected and out. I never saw him prior to the procedure. I never looked at him. He didnt come over. He didnt take the decency to say hello reassure instill confidence or do the decent human thing and be a kind person. It was mechanized and discounted. After the procedure, he was nowhere to be found and i had to wait until i inquired as to where he was at 4pm. I was then told i may have to wait 48 hours for what was then presented as biopsies taken and sent out to lab and that this labcoat wouldn't be in to see me for 2 days, knowing i was on vacation. I finally pressed the nurse into calling the hospital generalist in who said he contacted this guy and pressed him if i needed to be in the hospital. I was then released but had to follow up on the biopsy results. I called today and got someone who reflected his standoffish, detached, and cold energy. Answering quickly and then informing me that if he didnt have the results which he should have that i would have to wait 3 weeks as he is "leaving for vacation." I was livid. I was scared. I was unsure about my condition. This guy could not care less. He is not a good human being and is missing the point of being a compassionate health provider. I insisted he call by tonight. He finaly called and with an attitude said, "you have a complaint about me?" I knew it was a loaded question so i steered clear of his opportunity to hang up because i wanted my result of the biopsy. I was smarter than him in the moment and did not take his bait. I simply said, " i am calling for my results." Not once did he think or feel to apologize for keeping me at bay. He was unable to have insight inro any of his lack of simple duties as a compassionate healthcare provider that maybe someone was nervous, scared, or upset. This man appears to be a wolf in sheep's clothing but is not aware enough to even know it. He should be directing traffic with his icy disposition and stare. Oblivious to the human condition. He may be somewhat technically sound but part of doctoring for me is to have a person , a good soul, a kind person. Again in the wrong field and if we are tired of folks like him, you will call him on his self inflated ego as i hope he reads now because YES! This is my formal complaint. You have a lot to learn about self awareness and kindness to others!"
