"Beware. Horrible experience. I only went for a physical. First let me say I have a deductible plan not a co-pay plan. Advent charged me a Dr. visit to come in to get a prescription for the blood work for my physical. Then when I returned Advent charged for two office visits. The NP asked my history and said I need cholesterol medication due to my blood work. Because of that one detail they were able to charge 2 Dr. visits at the one visit. So I ended up paying for 3 visits total. I ended up getting charged out of pocket $400 after the insurance paid and they paid for the physical. All I wanted was my free Physical!"
"Patients beware. First, Employees are great. But, been going there for years, never had a problem. Since becoming AdventHealth they will try to charge you for extra office visits. I went there for my yearly physical, covered in full by insurance. I had a few questions about something new affecting me and because I had a discussion about something not covered in the field of the physical appointment, they charged me for another office visit. including a co-pay. Isn't a yearly physical appointment is when you are suppose to tell the doctor everything that you are feeling about your health?"
"Used to be great especially Amy in the office however recently Dr. Ringenberg has become more of a stumbling block then a doctor. He flat refused to check a concern during a physical because it seemed like too much trouble to deviate from his “check the box” exam. We had to go to a different doctor and it’s a good thing we did. Strike 2, after Ringenberg brushed off a valid concern of my brother’s because he’s “healthy and in his 30’s”, my brother suffered a major heart attack. I’m not saying the heart attack was Ringenberg’s fault, I’m saying it may have been prevented with a little testing and a doctor who listens to his patients. His nurse also leaves a lot to be desired. She seems put out and bothered. Web MD seems like a better option than this hot mess express."
