Indian Lake

"Glenwood village apartments are managed by Elon management and I lived there for a short time. Never had half of the issues that I have experienced with Indian lake. It was decent, quiet and well kept. However, Indian lake does not compare at all. When I first moved in my neighbor blasted his music so loud that my walls were vibrating and they did nothing. My appliances went out and I had to complain multiple times and wait for replacements for an unreasonable period of time. My Ac went out and leaked all over the rug soaking up the carpet. For three days they did nothing and I had to live with a soaking and wet rug and even after the fact they never came back to put the padding under the rug. There’s so much more that I could write a book. It’s better to live under a bridge. I will say that new management has stepped in and it appears they are making things better. It’s been a headache for me through and through. Renter beware. Yeah they ain’t lying about them cats either..smh. So many videos and photos of the nonsense that was going down at this complex."

"I will give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the neighborhood is quiet. My apartment is newly renovated & I am grateful. But there are many issues & I haven’t been able to get in contact with anyone (maintenance nor front office doesn’t answer the phone or respond). The refrigerator doesn’t work. All of my food has gone warm & I’ve constantly called about it. Also there have been gnats in the freezer. The smoke detector has been hanging off the wall since the day I moved in. There are piles & piles of cat manure in front of the apartment along with over 10 cats in the yard & I don’t own any pets. I can’t even sit in my patio area because of the smell from cat manure. There are cats living under every apartment in Indian Lake. The water pressure is low & has a smell. The front office is always on break & not willing to help. They told me solve the cat problem myself."

"DO NOT MOVE HERE! The 5 star reviews are FAKE!! I wish there was an option for ZERO stars! The management went from bad to worse in the last two months. The management are liars. Management is rude, ignorant, ghetto, and unprofessional. They do not fix anything in a timely manner, if some things they'll even fix at all. They have the nerve to be upset because you actually want a decent place to live in for what you pay for! You can get REALLY nice modern two bedroom apartments for what they have the audacity to charge here! This place is overran with cats. People are allowed to come dump their trash and furniture here with no repercussions. The entire plumbing system needs a complete overhaul. There is mold here. I have never been so sick in my life since I moved into this travesty. I needed to move ASAP from where I was at, and basically took the first thing I was approved for. I wish I had more time because I was approved for a house literally two days after I moved here! The people in the office have no idea what they're doing. Corporate is a joke! The whole outfit needs to be shut down. Literally filed litigation against this company recently. My attorney says they've had a million complaints against them. DYOR! But definitely stay away. I repeat ... DO NOT MOVE HERE! Thank me later."

"On the outside some apartments look run down but I've seen an apartment and it's not bad at all. They live on an end unit. Seems pretty quiet during the day and evening. The trash area was pretty clear."
