Duane Reade Pharmacy

"I know a lot of people are down on the pharmacy staff here, but after building up a track record of being nice to them, they do right by you. They offer to line up my prescriptions without being asked. They put in my weird orders on time. They're competent and always provide me with solid service. Just be nice to them. Not hard. Unless you're just not a nice person, in which case, the problem likely lies with you."

"Do not use this pharmacy, hands-down, the worst pharmacy in the city. I tried to give a zero, but you cannot do that with Google."

"DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY They will NEVER answer the phone. Was on hold for and hour and 15 before being hung up on. At this point I wanted only to cancel my prescriptions. Not going to use a pharmacy that doesn’t pick up the phone. Was on the phone for hours with Duane reade customer service and they could not reach the pharmacy themselves. For an additional two hours I sat on hold with customer service as they tried to reach them. Had to give up. Had to give my doctor more work and something tells me that when I go to my preferred local pharmacy, they will still tell me Duane reade has not canceled my prescriptions and I’ll have to physically go inside and demand they cancel it and that will not be a good day for the lazy staff at this pharmacy"

"Worst service EVER. The cashier was argumentative and extremely rude for no reason. Even after I reminded her that I was the customer and not her, she continued to be belligerent. She should NOT be working with customers. If it were my store she would not have been hired to begin with."

"The worst service I have ever received at a pharmacy. The woman at the counter was rude, slow, incompetent, and her behavior seemed intentionally spiteful despite my polite behavior toward her. I wasted an hour of my life waiting for her to process vaccine appointments in the wrong order and then had to leave the pharmacy (no internet signal for some reason) for twenty minutes to register and pull up my prescription ID information (which I wasn’t told I needed when I signed up online) before coming back and being sent to the back of the line AGAIN, at which point I gave up - she took about ten minutes per person just to process vaccine apointments, which only required her to fill out a small form with their info, and the line was seven people backed up because of her slow pace. I will be getting my vaccine at a different location, and intend to never give this location my business ever again. Please critically review this woman’s behavior at your store. She is and will continue to be bad for your business."
