Holiday Inn Columbus, an IHG Hotel

"Nice hotel but beware of two things... 1. Even though it says on the IHG website that you can " hold a room" with your credit card, they will charge you for that room and then say it's non-refundable. 2. They will also put a $50 hold on your account when you check in for "incidentals". The IHG website is NOT very transparent about this."

"I was at the hotel for several weeks on business. The bartender, Becky, was the bright spot in my stay. She was very friendly and provided great service with both food and alcohol."

"My husband and I have traveled to a lot of places and our stay here was as nice as any! Their staff is amazing! The hotel is immaculate, our room was so comfortable, and the pool area was quaint, but, quite relaxing. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely want to come back. Thank you!"

"Really decent Hotel. Stuff was really friendly Pool had right temperature and was clean. Gym was nice and had water from the Water Bottle dispenser. Room was clean and quiet. The only disadvantage was the smell in the room like a sweaty old man (I should request different room, but I thought the smell will go away - it did but after few days :-( ), mostly because of the bad idea of having AC/heater (thermostat) set up to work only when the motion detector detects somebody in the room. That also caused to walk into hot room after work. Probably would stay again anyway, the AC was cooling the room pretty fast."

"I’m sorry the hotel itself was nice and clean. However who ever the young lady and older man were on our stay on 05/27/2023 were absolutely rude. We were there for a baseball tournament. Coach made a reservation for us, there was a miscommunication between us and we accidentally booked 2 rooms. We explained our mistake, and per IHG (which this hotel is apart of) terms says we can cancel up to 4pm upon arrival. It would have been nice if the staff would have been professional and explained their policy which is apparently are different than the terms of IHG, with kindness then I wouldn’t be writing this review. They were absolutely horrible. I will inform any of our travel league buddies not to book here. Not only that they charge a separate deposit that isn’t listed on their site. Apparently it’s different for every family and know one family that was charged $80 and us only $50. Please keep that in mind when you book this hotel. However this is returned after checkout, but it would have been nice to know before booking. So no we will not be booking here again."
